Un par de genios haciendo temas con muy buen gusto!!!! Excelente!!!!
We all miss Eddy.
Добрый и родной душевный и музыкант Мира!
Unusual mellow sound of banjo, almost like guitar (of Freddie Green) or tenor guitar of Eddie Condon
I agree. He was known to play with a violin mute. At 10:25 you can see him reach into his pocket and put it on!
❤
Bitchin’ Eddy!

..Eddy lives..thx ! can't belive his sudden death !
a LOVELY version of " Cuando Vuelva a tu Lado" one of the favorites tunes of our chromatic harmonica trio, where I played the 267/384 Hohner chord
Good bye my friend.
I was very sad to hear of dear Eddy’s death. He was very kind to me when we met at the Cajun in 2003 where I had the pleasure of singing with him and his band. RIP Kevin Cassidy
RIP
RIP Eddie. Thank you for this gift. I have often wondered if you ever did anything like this and wanted so much to participate.
I was thinking about Eddie recently during this crisis. Never met him, but exchanged comments on youtube. I learned so much about how music works from watching hours of him. Bought my one tenor banjo because of him, then tuned it properly away from guitar tuning to learn it properly. I truly feel like I lost a friend today. I actually wanted to reach out for a lesson in person as I am a New Yorker too.
WOW!! Love It!! A talent that's very hard to find !! Thanks' Eddy & Conal.
So sorry to hear of your passing, Eddy. I will always remember you singing and playing this beautiful song with Conal. The highlight of the DVD for me. You were a wonderful talent, and will be hugely missed. And you were so kind and helpful to me. Best wishes from Edinburgh!
RIP Eddy “The Manhattan Minstrel” Davis. You were the undisputed champ.
I miss you Eddy.
I was so very sad when I found out about Eddy’s passing. I never met Eddy in person, but exchanged greetings in the comments section under his video posts. Eddy exhibited his love for music, his love for life, and his love for sharing his knowledge with each video. His generous spirit and talent was a precious gift that he shared willingly. He inspired me to return to the tenor banjo. My sympathy goes out his family and friends. An African proverb states that when an elder dies, a whole library goes up in flames. With the passing of Eddy, a whole university has vanished. And yet, his spirit can live on in all of us who took inspiration from Eddy. We can pick up our instruments and try to honor him in our playing, in our respect for his music, and in our being the best person we can be.
R.I.P. Mr. Davis
Rest in peace...
Rest in peace.sad.
Thank you for the music and your kind words Eddy.
Very sad news. My kids and I had the pleasure of seeing Eddy with Woody last summer in Madrid. It was a wonderful concert. Eddy was an amazing musician, always smiling. Very, very, very sad news! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sadly Eddy Davis has now become another victim of the virus. What a tragedy.
All that skill on the guitar. Gone forever Thank you, Mr Davis, for sharing your musicality with us for so long! Gone bur surely not forgotten! So uplifting.
