    Stereo shots from World War 1 are available and somewhat shocking. I've used stereo pairs for geological mapping (1980's) and it is was/is a very useful tool. The issue with this camera is the lack of adoption of the picture format in modern devices.

    I'm new to the vintage camera business, I thought the photos were very good, but I have a question, 11:20 is this the P72 filming? Well if it's wow, I found one for 10 dollars (I live in Brazil) and apparently everything is ok, if it really has this style of filming that I particularly love I think I'll make a great deal for just 10 dollars

    There is nothing sketchy about the Stereo Photo Maker program. I consider a "sketchy program" to be one that tries to (or secretly does) install additional unwanted software, and Stereo Photo Maker doesn't do that. It is true that its UI is very outdated, it's not pretty, and not always intuitive to use, but it's definitely not sketchy. I've found it to be pretty valuable since it's the only truly useful software of its kind for Windows.

    You should consider printing the 3D pictures. That is the main way you could show them off. We a simple side-by-side print and a vintage stereoscope, the image in the paper will come to life in 3D. It's really cool and even if the picture quality is not the greatest, the life 3d can bring to day to day scenes is pretty nice.

    • @NoelJinguli
      @NoelJinguli 4 місяці тому

      You'll have to look for a card reader that can read Sony's proprietary "Memory Stick Pro", since this camera uses that kind of card. However, since the "Memory Stick Pro Duo" exists, which is the newer shorter version of the card, some card readers don't mention if it supports both these cards or just the Duo. I've found that cheaper card readers do work, but my best advice is to get a mini USB to USB cable and plug it directly into the camera. Their somewhat easier and less confusing to find too. Sorry for the long answer, but I just need to let you know since I've made the mistake of using a card reader that only supports the Duo sticks.

    I saw one today charged, at my community thrift store. I played with auto and program and wondered why it defaulted to the large multi square grid. Then I tried lowering the ASA ( I know) to 80, and leaving it in.Auto, and all I got was a dark screen and dark pics. So I changed the ASA to 400, and still got the dark screen. It was in fine physical shape , had the lens cap, and charger for 95 bucks plus my senior discount of 10%. Since I already have a couple Canon Elph 310 cameras in mint shape, I didn't buy it. The reason I WOULD have bought it is my old none working cheaper DMC Panasonics had the best sharpness of all my pocket cameras. Since this is a Leica lens, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the quality of the glass.

    • @NoelJinguli
      @NoelJinguli 5 місяців тому

      Oh ni, so it didn't work? That's too bad if it didn't. Regarding the Leica lens, I wanna be pretentious and say that I only focus on the shooting experience or that the lens is just average since even though it says it's made by Leica. But the truth is I was too excited to post the video that I kinda forgot to talk about it. I had a few talking points that I wanted to talk about, but forgot to include it in my script. So yeah, I'm fairly new to this, so I hope you forgive me for that. Anyway, I appreciate the comment. Hope you enjoyed the video
