You British ?
They don’t seem to have any more unreleased tracks from 1976 to 1980 in the vault. I don’t have much interest in his hippie and glam periods and post Let’s Dance albums.
So dramatic. There are more human remains in the Thames than there are on the island.
The Indian comnunity have been a blessing to Gravesend, where I live.

I'm English and LOVE Berlin! I've been maybe 10 times and plan to go many more times
I lived in Gravesend from 1958 to 1969, we lived on Dover Road East in a tall terrace. We had Irish neighbours who were awful. They had a big tipper truck parked on the front garden and were real dirty neighbours. They moved out and we got the first Indian folk to move into our street. They were great. Arbijan, the only son became a mate and his 2 sisters used to wind me up no end( puberty) and Arge, as I called him would tell them off. The Baines family they were called, Mrs Baines would bring my dad plates of curry and rice. I remember the racism, wogs my white mates would call them. My dad had none of it. I was fortunate enough to get a place in a posh boarding school at Greenhithe. I left Gravesend when I went to sea.
Thank you for this. I have recently been in contact with Phil and he told me about this film...Very interesting information. Well done Phil for your research and to the crew involved in making this.
It makes me like her more. Watching her for the first time ever just 15 minutes ago on The Voice, to know she suffered from anxiety and how she performed, amazing. Good for her to do the body building. Health us important. Most of all, love yourself for who you are.
DAVID BOWIE WAS VERY TENACIOUS ABOUT GETTING ON IN MUSIC. HE HAD A FEW FAILURES BEFORE HE MADE IT WITHSPACE ODDITY, WHICH IS MY FAVORITE. HE HAD TO COME UP WITH ALTER EGO TO GET PEOPLES ATTENTION.
Thank you so much, Sam. I think this is a brilliant documentary
This was wonderful to watch
It would be great if they made a movie of those very early days!

Thinking about it,there is no Musician these Days, that would even come close to Bowie.Good damm,I miss him!!!
Nice video.
And he was such a humble, sweet, funny, and gracious man 🖤
Yes. He drove a diesel van and kept his gun in quiet seclusion.
Not according to Angie. Lol
So nice to see this video on Gravesend. It was my home town where I was born and grew up and a place I still visit. So many memories ❤️
My old people work very hard in factories and FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR
A very one sided view of Chatham historic dockyard. You missed out so much! Ropery, covered slipways, the museum and it's artifacts. The steam railway and many other historic buildings within the complex.
There’s only so much you can include in a TV segment under ten minutes in length. Having family that worked at the dockyard for generations I’m well aware of what it has to offer but that wasn’t the purpose of this particular film. The film met people who found work at the dockyard in its latest incarnation who still have a role to play in retelling its history to new generations. Thank you for taking the time to watch it and feeling moved enough to comment :)
I visited the Dockyard in 2023 and was so impressed - by its history, certainly - but mostly by encounters with staff who had so much knowledge and a willingness to share it. Fascinating to meet people who were ‘there’. Go if you get the chance!
he was quite remarkable
❤️❤️❤️
My original link failed - now I see why: it's moved. So glad I can share it with friends and acquaintances again :-)
i live in meopham
Your point being???
Same
God Bless this Brave Doctor Hero! These folks need Real Graves Bones should not be seen like they can be:(
Absolutely amazing! I know this island and the waters and land around it well.
I’m curious to know where the cross to commemorate the air disaster is in meopham. If anybody knows, please post a comment.
I realise this is very late and you probably won't see this, but the witness voiced in this video was my great-grandfather - my grandma lived in meopham her whole life and the cross is on her land. Her property is being sold next month, and I'm sorry to say it is on private property, but it is visible behind the vets.
Informative, accurate, and evocative - a good piece of reporting
