This is my first video and I'm gonna talk about some basic stuff and how to use modelling aids and keyboard shortcuts and aliases in order to access the commands faster in rhino.
great information. regarding burnout furnaces, is there anyway to speed up the cycle? from what I've gathered this process could take up to 6h?
Hi. I worked with R&R and prestige investments. I'd rather do the recommended burnout cycle and they are 12-13 hours. but my master said 30 years ago he was doing this and they had no burnout cycle or electric kiln with digital thermometer nor 3d printer and resin. only wax and a kiln heated by fire. and they were doing it in 5-6 hours. last year he had a small 50 gram flask of white gold and reached to 700 C in 6 hours and it came out good. I really dont know which is better. maybe the surface or porosity is different. but i had a bad experience twice, i tried to ramp up the temperature quickly and the investment cracked, I continued and it was ok but there is the risk of blowing the whole flask when the metal is rushing in if the investment is weak and the metal is heavy. beware of the cracks.
Thank you so much
