I tend to do my thinking while I sit on the box. I guess that is outside of it. 😼 Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay warm, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!
Well my friend….thats some great advice! Seems I recently reached out to you for something similar. Thanks for more great content as usual.
You’re very, very welcome. It’s exciting to see your video continuing to grow. May your channel follow suit!!!
@ Thanks Mike.
Just make it work 😁
Exactly.
What is the black stuff in the tube ? Seam sealer ? Whats the brand ?
If it’s in a toothpaste style tube, it’s POR 15 patch. If it’s in a caulking gun, it’s autobody, master seam sealer from Auto value Auto parts. I don’t remember what I used in that particular part of the car but I it’s one of those two things Hope that helps. Thanks for watching….
Just do it 😂
😂😂😂
lost me at that 336. don't understand that. how is that standard on any car?
It’s a formula compensation The number "336" is used in axle ratio calculations because it represents a simplified, rounded-off value of various constants within the formula used to calculate road speed based on engine RPM, tire size, and gear ratio; essentially acting as a conversion factor to make the calculation easier without significantly impacting accuracy
bad as$
I like your show man. Im gonna try and improve my channel this year. I dont understand why you dont have more subscribers. Rock on!
Just gave you a sub
@@Captaincurtsgarage UA-cam algorithm has a hard time with content like mine It’s hard to find that niche audience I dont fit in with the normal resto guys. 😂😂😂
@@MyKARSShop thx
Big project. Curious how the paint blend is going to work with that old paint
Not my first rodeo with paint blending on old paint like that. Stick around for those techniques. Lol. This one should go pretty quick since I’m not doing a lot of fabrication. But I need to get stitches off the rotisserie ASAP. Should be a mixup between stitches & the duster. January is pretty much all duster
Well I’m poor so I’m gonna watch your channel 😂🤙🏼🇺🇸
😂😂😂 Thanks for the great laugh today. Hope you enjoy the channel
@ you’re welcome glad I could make you laugh love the channel so far.
Big project
Gotta love it. 😍
Looking forward to the Duster Content!! RAWK!!
Agree
Thanks, Michael. Almost every hands-on episode for the month of January will be duster content.
Quarter mile at a time
Exactly.
Seeing that the engine broke free puts a smile on my face.
Mine too. Lol it was such an amazing feeling when that cranks started turning. It was awesome. Thank you so much for watching
…hard black caulk… huhuhuhuh😅
Steady. 😂
Been waiting for this one! ❤RAWK😊
More coming soon
I am surprised that black caulk wasn't part of your Oakland roof sealing project. I hate buying caulk or sealant or silicone, whatever you want to call it. I always call them caulk because I use a caulking gun to apply them. I hate to buy them because I never use it all up, and it is always bad by the time I need it again. I suppose that is just part of the expense of doing any sort of construction project. Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay warm, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!
I did use a little bit of the black seam sealer on the Oakland roof, but mostly it was flexseal and top conditioner
Great Grandpa was known to say(in his thick Scottish brogue)" use what you've got and you'll never want". Truer words were never spoken. I share your loss on the rock hard tube of seam sealer(specially that it was the right colour!). Malcolm Ottawa Valley
Hate that unopened products go bad so quickly Good to hear from you. Thanks for watching.
No matter what you put out for vidieos, i will wacth. I learn alot from evrything you do. Keep up the good work....oh ya RAWK
Wow. Thank you! I just share what I do. I appreciate it.
Time for some roof sealant on those floors. Start cutting
Getting close
Planning is the best way to keep from having to make fixes for mistakes. I think a lot of us need to sit back and look at what we are doing and what our goal is.
Planning definitely saves time in the long run
Mike, this probably isn't the right way to go, but i have been using DAP Dynaflex Ultra as a seem sealer. It is a sealer for exterior doors, windows and trim that is paintable. I get it at Home Depot for $8-10. I'm tired of paying $40 for a tube of seem seeler that goes bad once opened.
I thought about going that way. I just picked up a tube of black autobody master for 14 so I didn’t think that was too bad. But still, I will definitely keep my eyes open for that Dina flex Thanks for the tip
I am now curious about what type of styling you are going to go for with the 39 truck. You say you are going to put it on a Dodge Dakota chassis. I want to know if you are going to try and make it look like a 39 truck, or if you are going to put modern wheels on it and maybe some LED headlights in those bucket headlamps to sort of make a modern truck with old style features. I really want to see you working on Stitches. I love seeing you fabricate stuff. I am also looking forward to seeing you work on the Golden Mullet. I know that that keeps getting pushed out. I don't really mind a whole lot because the other projects have remained interesting enough. I am interested in seeing how you go about building that frame table. I am also curious about your "other" new truck project. I believe it will involve a Cummings diesel, and I haven't really seen much with diesel engines so that will be educational as well. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay warm, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!
It will be a mild traditional 70s style hard rod Nothing fancy. Going to keep it simple. I need a massive amount of shop space for the chassis table, so I have to get some of these other projects out of the way I’ve been slamming on the duster, that will consume almost all the January episode slots.
Good project truck !!! Have a Great New Year !!! 👍👍👍
Thanks. It’s gonna be a fun one.
Nice Mike!! I say if moving from one project to the next keeps you motivated, by all means keep doing what you are doing. RAWK!!!
Go to satisfy that old ADHD. Lol.
The new Dodge pickup is gonna be so cool. I love that style.
Thanks, Matt
Nice. Can't wait to see you get on the 39. I enjoy watching videos about body swaps. Also looking forward to you getting back on stitches. Thanks Mike!
Lots of fabrication coming over the next few months Thanks for watching
Can't wait to see the truck! That's gonna be way cool!
Thanks. It’s going to be a fun project and I’ll be able to showcase a bunch of new skills.
Maybe you need a hemi powered Mini
lol. Probably not.
That era dodge truck is my favorite, looking forward to that series! Looking forward to more fabrication and bodywork as well.
Lots of it coming in the next couple months. Thanks for watching.
Great Episode buddy, Love the New Truck can't wait to see it done. LET'S GO 2025!!! LOL RAWK!!!!
Thanks, Brad
Great year end wrap up Mike. I am looking forward to next year.
I feel a little optimistic for the first time in a long time. Thanks.
The new truck project sounds like an interesting one to watch! RAWK!!
Yes, it’s going to be fun.
Parts hunting
I don't have much faith in these formulas in any context other than a street car that won't be used for racing. The fastest combination Bob Glidden tried on his 330 inch destroked Cleveland was a PAIR of 1,150 Dominators. Ran significantly faster than the single that would've been far too big based on the formula. Ford also put a lot of R&D into developing the best responding induction package they could for the Boss 302 in the 1969 Trans Am series, which ended up being a PAIR of 1,050 Dominators in 1969 on fairly poor flowing heads for today's standards with an endurance racing cam. It did so well that the SCCA banned dual quads the following season. A 750-850 CFM carb would've been the best choice based on this formula, but Ford found that 2,100 CFM worked best.
I did this video three years ago and never expected it to do anything because my channel was very very small at the time. I was specifically addressing a question somebody asked me about sizing carburetors for the street performance I have since do d two more videos to try to explain that but nobody watches those. Lol. 😝 Thanks for watching
@@MyKARSShopFair enough. Most people do use more carburetor on their street car than they'll ever need, and it's harder to tune a big carb in a heavy car without much gear. I just wanted to share that info because it's honestly astounding to me how much carburetor they used in Pro Stock, and especially in Trans Am because you don't normally think of road racing cars to run so much carb.
It's a good feeling to get a section wrapped up 🤘
You got that right. Thanks for watching.
I was watchin that square tube dance around on the fender, worried it was going to fall on your head...
That’s funny because I didn’t notice that until I watched the video myself… Lol the whole time I was working, I wasn’t aware of how precarious it was. 😂
Amazing how those 20 minute fixits, turn into 1/2 day projects. 🤬
You got that right. It’s always crazy to me…
Nice to hear of someone who actually knows what an Annie Award is. Totally off topic, but we were the creators of the Unofficial Cats Don't Dance Fan Site, back in 1997. My wife adores that film. I first heard about the Annie Awards while researching it because of how many Annies CDD won. There is quite a story behind CDD, but it mainly is just bad timing and corporate greed that killed that wonderful film.. If you haven't seen Cats Don't Dance, I highly recommend it. Also if you get a male cat, you can name it Harvey. The Harvey is an award for comics. My wife has three of those. The award, not cats named Harvey. 😼 I suppose Hugo and Tony are other names you could use. Maybe Eisner. Strange name for a cat though. 😸 If you get an old one you can call her Grammy.😺 HAPPY HOLIDAYS!🎉 Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay warm, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!
That’s great information. Thanks. Yes, I had thought about the Tonys… I hadn’t thought about Harveys. Thank you I also thought about Grammy… But you’re right I can’t find one that makes sense for Besides that I don’t want that many more cats. Lol. 😝 With so many musicians in the family, and my son, being a professional animator, we are a little more aware of a lot of these things. Hey, thanks for the information about that movie and congratulations to your wife on the awards!!! That’s awesome.
That old plastic works until it doesn’t. Then it’s a pain to get replaced. Nice look at the finishing touches that make a vehicle workable for everyday use and not to mention the safety factor. Good video as always. Rock on!
Exactly. I try to provide a good mix of content. Thanks for watching.
I am going to have to look at the Bee and see how that is. Thanks Mike
I’m curious to know about the super bee. Now I need to go look at the golden mullet and see how that is. Lol.
rain X will destroy washer fluid level sensors on the newer Ram or Mopars.
That’s great information. Thanks for sharing.
