That's Large foot print, frame looks almost set up for CNC. I don't have that kind of room. Ill probably us the CNC bearing and rod stuff and make a removable rifle stock frame (Part), that slides up/down to shorten my unit As I will be using mostly for smaller and stockier parts. Yours does look stable and stiff.
Ive made lots of fancy stocks by hand . It started , because Im left handed . I found the comb height and cheek peice always wrong for the big scopes I use . I bought one of those tracers , but havent tried it yet , I was thinking of gluing hard foam add-ons to get the feel in the right places . I also wonder about wrapping the whole original in thick tape , to get it oversized , so I can finish it to a happy size . I dont here of anyone doing that ? I guess you could add -on and make a manlutcher long stock too .
Also, what do you need in order to be set up to run them like this. I’m interested in starting a business making solid wood stocks and would love any info.
Why make an exact copy of a factory wood stock? I get using it as a pantograph template if you used bondo or something to build up the comb or if you adjusted the length of pull, grip angle, etc. Why make it an exact copy?
Super . l like it . Good job

Obviously you make it to repair a gun with a damaged stock. Do you really need to be told this?
