    Behavior is a greater part of culture. I am so impressed by Dr. Kimberly on how she is showing up as a leader. Part of our journey is to have a leadership that shows up and very intentional in taking the lead in transitioning into the ideal culture. It creates a psychological safe environment and a level of trust. The reciprocation of the above is easy when the transition is managed correctly through proper change management processes

    “Slaves were immigrants”….??? I’m so glad we are having these conversations about teaching history accurately so that we can heal from our collective trauma.

    So... There's moms out there somehow ashamed??

    • @drkimberlylwilson
      @drkimberlylwilson 3 місяці тому

      Unfortunately yes. There are so many roles that mothers need to fulfill and paired with a perfectionist spirit and societal "false norms," the shame can be overwhelming.

      Truly they do. Many of them unconsciously buy in to the belief that without working everyone to the maximum capacity that the business and sales will falter. It is of course, the complete opposite.

    There's Power in Your Voice: Speak and Own It! Join us LIVE at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT for Leadership Beyond Burnout with Casey Carpenter. In this episode, Casey discusses the necessity and dangers of empathy for leaders. She says: 10:46: According to a 2020 and 2021 study, empathy is one of the most valued leadership traits that a leader can embody. 12:49 It (empathy) becomes difficult because you care so much about people that you start to take it on and you're worrying about them after work is over. In this LIVE we cover how: The power of your voice allows you to use communication to lead successfully. You can communicate to build stronger relationships, inspire change, and achieve your career goals. How burnout can impact your leadership skills You can use effective communication to overcome burnout. You can view the stream in any of the locations in the comments section. Let’s share some interesting information about Casey! Casey Carpenter has “four strikes against her.” She grew up shy, scared, introverted, and highly sensitive. As a young professional, grew tired of getting passed over because she was so quiet. She almost got fired from her first sales job. She dug in, turned things around, and developed her communication skills from the ground floor. Her methods have been “road tested” and applied over the years and are practical so that you can use them right away. Today Casey is CEO and Founder of Speak & Own It Communications, a leadership communications firm. Her strategies give women leaders the tools to not only capture the room when speaking but to apply strategies to connect and lead… and to do it with confidence. Casey’s story of perseverance has inspired both men and women. She assures them, "If I can do this, with all those strikes against me, you can rock it." Casey Carpenter has generously shared a link to her social media and a valuable resource to help you Speak and Own it in the comments section.

    You gotta be balanced for You tho.. Anger has its purpose and is worth respecting because it lets You know when Someone is trying to encroach on Your boundaries.. but understand this too, if You are easily angered.. You are easily manipulated.. You should ALWAYS be able to handle Your emotions and be able to make wise choices, even when Angry

    Both…. But, definitely the entitlement of new additions to the team. I’m young, myself but, I have an exec position. I still do all level-work when needed but, they’re not my main tasks. I contribute where the team needs…. some things are clearly above some people when it’s not “their hat”. Ps. I work in maxillo-facial surgery (dentistry).

    Employees are becoming more entitled! Too many young folk are unwilling to see and use low level entry jobs while they prepare and position themselves for better positions! They lack a strong work ethic (punctuality, respect for co-workers and authority figures, slacking off while doing the job, poor attitudes, inability to respectfully express complaints, engaging in gossip and office politics, etc,,).
