In 1962 the last passenger train travelled the Churnet Valley Rail into Leek, Staffordshire, decommissioned in early 1070's to freight......fast forward to 2022, plans and work began to re-instate said rail line, now 2 years on and the rail line finally arrives back into Leek.........

Little Moreton Hall (National Trust Site)
Is that the site of a new station or just a temporary terminus?
Great progress, thanks for the update.
What an excellent song! It needs a music video doing. :)
good to know about somesort of update on a local line but please lose the music
thank you for your comments, points noted
The music has obviously been specially written and I think it's pretty decent considering. You can mute the volume if it's not for you.
Great video ❤
@@inbetween-days as always thank you. ;-).
Excellent progress update video! Coming along nicely 👍
thank you for your comments, its nice to document the progress while we can still fly over the track
Enjoyed that a lot, especially the wide landscapes. Super effort. See you soon. Ian Ralphs
Thanks for your comments Ian, see you soon
I hope the update includes a map showing progress. Interesting as the video is, the before and after shots not easy to follow, especially for someone not familiar with the area.
@@boblovell5789 your points raised have been noted, please subscribe and hit the notification bell, as I’ll do an updated informative version, this video was assuming that you knew where the original track was, thanks for your comments.
@@urbanmediauk Thanks. Liiked and subbed!
Hi no we had somwhow missed it but have just watched. Best wishes ❤️
What a great event ❤
@@inbetween-days thank you as always, have you seen the leek rail video I’ve put up?
It's not going back to the town centre or to the old station site then ?
@@Sam_Green____4114 Unfortunalty not, as the old station is now Morrisons, that’s as close as it can go to the original site, but please subscribe and hit the full notification bell. As there will be an update in the next few weeks.
Churnet Valley is local to me. If only there weren't a supermarket obstructing the tunnel onto Rudyard Lake and the mainline beyond. Can you imagine?
Now there’s a thought, but unfortunately we can only dream about it
I have often thought that. It’s as if the town decided to isolate itself like a tortoise drawing into its shell.
@ hopefully this will be the start, a few more of the old lines need reconnecting, Staffordshire had one of the best rail networks at one stage.
Great to see an overview of the new station site, I hadn't realised how long the platform would be!!! Excellent footage 🙂! What were the 5(?) detonators for (activated 5197 by at 1.56)? Special Occasion? Keep up the good work!
@@willlister9825 Will Lister the train footage with the detonators was when the triangle was first opened, be sure to subscribe and hit the bell, there’s more to come hence the “to be continued….. “. I’d hate for anyone to miss what’s in store…… ;-).
10 out of 10.
@@williamchivers380 thank you for the comments, be sure to subscribe and hit the notifications bell, it’s to be continued for a reason……… ;-).
Good evening didnt it look fantastic from above so colourful. There certainly looks like there is a lot there to enjoy. Thank you for showing us the spectacular Goose Fair. Good music choice as eell. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Hi Dave and dawn, its fantastic, we had a walk round after, there's so much to see and do, its the uks oldest funfair gathering, you could lose hours in here and so well organised.

Enjoyed this. Looks wonderful ❤
It was so much fun to capture this one, it’s one of only three that has three spires. The architecture is phenomenal.
Love Shugborough and wonderful to see these views. Thank you for sharing ❤
It’s a beautiful Georgian building and the folly’s amaze me. Thanks for your comments @inbetween
Thank you for sharing!! I'm so happy to watch this video!! 💗
Our pleasure, please be sure to subscribe and hit the notifications.
The reopening of this line is long overdue. To take the load off the A53 A5009. If the Leek end could include a connection to the Churnet Valley line it would also give a popular tourist attraction a connection to the main network and more visitors spending their money locally.
As far as I’m aware it is linking with churnet valley. I’m due to cover this as an update as soon as the weather picks up a bit…..
@@urbanmediauk I shall look forward to seeing it. I am a passionate supporter for reopening railway lines. I have fond memories of travelling the old Stoke loop line. A wonderful asset it would be today cutting down traffic most of which are on short commuter journeys.
@@neilbaldwin592 I agree, far too Many lines have been disabled that could be a massive asset.
@@urbanmediaukyes, it should do there’s a sliding on the line but it’s overgrown. Here in Endon they started to cut back but now it’s growing back
@@willb19 there will be an update over the coming weeks so please make sure you have the notifications enabled. Thanks for your comments.
Where’s your other video gone I really wanted to see your ‘evidence’ cowardly that
We've been to Bolsover. It's a wonderful place and was great to see these views. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
This one is in my list to visit in the summer. It’s amazing views from the air.
Love this ❤
Thank you for sharing. What a great event ❤
Thanks you for your comments, it was an absolutely epic event, we gathered over 300gb of information with video and photos.
Feel like this needs commentary and for that reason I’m out
Thank you for your comments, all ideas will be considered.
awesome shots mate nice flying well done liked it 👍
@mavicairsflyeruk thank you for the comments, I’m hoping to get more out now the weather is getting better.
A crying shame , so many good times & memories , wrote my name in the concrete foundations when it was built as a boy, sad day when it closed
It’s like so many places, it’s just another part of Stoke’s history reduced to memories. Thanks for your comments,
Good to see, or hear, you try something different.
Hi thank you for sharing this with us. Some fantastic drone shots of the lake. Was interesting to hear about it an amazing construction to feed the canals. Best wishes Dave and Dawn 👍
Thanks dave and dawn, I’m going to be doing more narrative videos from now on, bit of a personal touch for everyone.
thats brill matey lovely
Updated format on this one at 8pm.
This would be a good one for a voice over you know
8pm premiere
Great work just found the channel this have you thought about voicing over your videos maybe chat about what went into the creation Keep up the good work
Thanks for your comments Pete, future videos will include the informative bubbles and voice overs, it’s something I’m looking to progress with.
I'm looking forward to see you evolve with the voice overs, maybe nows the time? @@urbanmediauk
Great footage, any problems flying there?
Did all the preflight checks, risk assessments, no issues, no restrictions, it’s a beautiful place to see from a different perspective. Thanks for your comments and be sure to subscribe, share and check out my other projects.
Beautiful drone shots of this wonderful house & gardens. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Thanks for your comments, it’s a beautiful building, I’ve a few more like this on my list to cover.
Nice to meet you~Omg~ excellent . Urban!=)
Thank you for your kind comments, it’s a beautiful place. Even more awesome in the dusky light.
Putting a word and a logo over a video that is someone else's count as content? I need to do this
I always brand my videos, for copyright
I went there!
Stupid special effects spoilt it
This was one of my very first video edits, the quality has come a long way since then, check out some of my most recent edits. Thank you for your comments.
Miss that place
Thsnks for your comments.
Hurry up lads half of us will be dead before you are finished.
Tbh they have made some fantastic progress since I covered this accident.
Yes i agree thats why most people dont understand why they ant started on Etruscan square, they can build whole housing estates in side 6 months, seems £20m ant enough and need private funding and we all know what happened before.@@urbanmediauk
My dad took me in the working men's club more times than I can remember. Saturday night was the highlight of the week with live entertainment & obviously THE BINGO LOL! I would go upstairs and play pool but that club was the heart of Sneyd Green characters and amazing people too. Great memories and looking at the bar etc, it really takes me back to an amazing era!!! God Bless Sneyd Greeners your always in my heart Stephen O'Boyle
Thank you for sharing your memories of the club with us, this is why we do things like this, to keep the memories alive.
Thanks for sharing this with us a big 👍
This had been on the list for a while, was waiting for the perfect day to capture everything it had on offer, thanks for your comments.
Looking very quite 👀 🤔
Beautiful thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks for the kind comments.
Thank you was amazing to see it that way. We love the gardens and it was good to see them from a different perspective. Have subscribed 👍
This is exactly why we do what we do, there will be a few more NT sites covered over the next few months, Shugborough Hall is next on the list, thanks for the sub, much appreciated.
@@urbanmediauk will look forward to see that 👍
Thanks for keeping us updated. Why have we (The Vale) have to had this done to the pitch! what was the problem with it? It's not like wer'e in Spain with the hot sun drying the soil and killing the grass.
To help with drainage, stops a waterlogged pitch. Supposedly they have had a sprinkler system installed as well. Time will tell.
Because the pitch doesn’t drain water when it rains cos all the old drains had broken. That’s why our pitch always holds water and is heavy in the winter
2:00 look's like someone took a leek in the corner ; )
why are they wrong
It’s a play on words….. should be white lines, box around the goal, centre circle etc etc etc.
@@urbanmediauk 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🙄
amazing
Thanks for your comments Daryl, there will be more of these NT sites coming over the next few months.
