55" RC catamaran re-build
Переглядів 1,6 тис.8 років тому
This is the introduction of the 55" catamaran re-build. I have an engine, but have not decided what I'll do for propulsion yet. I'll be stripping the paint and reworking the fiberglass as well as re-enforcing the inside.
Do you know what size the screw is that holds the speaker down?
Just use blue splice if you want to save the factory connector
thanx for the great video men. now what's the size of the speakers ?
The front dash are 4", front doors are 6x9, and the rear doors are 6 1/2".
Y las de la cajuela que medida son?
hi bro! i vought a pair of kickers Dsc350, but these are coaxials u think is the same way?
Sorry for the delayed reply. I'm sure you've installed them by now, but I think they are. If they the tweeters aren't too tall, the grills should go right back on.
@@hestermark Yes bro, ive already installed. best purchase ive done to be the first time, good speakers. thx for answer 👌🏼

Nice vid as I have a 2010 Jeep GC and purchased the exact same speakers. How did you mod the speaker grill to accommodate the slightly taller speaker within the dash after install?
Thank you! I used flush cutters to cut out the inside support of the grill to match the tweeter. The speakers are still a little tall, but I worked the grill back on. You could use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the grill a bit so it contours to the tweeter. I was afraid it wouldn't look good, but it worked out very well.
@@hestermark Funny you said that as I had just finished doing the same thing with a fine hacksaw blade and heavy-grit sandpaper to smooth the rough edges. It fits like a glove now! Thanks for getting back to me on this!
@@odontuscreationsphotograph1039 Your quite welcome! I'm glad it turned out good! Sorry I took so long getting back. I don't have notifications set up and I happened to open UA-cam. I think you'll like those speakers.
Could you confirm please the jbl speakers reference? Thxs.
I don't quite follow. Do you mean the size?
@@hestermark no actually ; I mean the speaker series. Thank you.
@@dmtdgptlqm oh sorry, I put in the GTO429's.
I just bought the same speakers
did you ever do anything with it
With a factory Amped Boston Acoustic system, I still have to do the capasitor? Installing Rockford Fosgate P132 3.5'S
dewey66904 If your just replacing speakers and leaving the factory amp I don't think you will. With it being seperate wires, I believe it blocks lower frequencies from the amp.
