Living off grid in an old but beautiful and faithful Merc 609d all year round since 2011 throws up many opportunities to get innovative.

Moving stuff on grass with make shift trailer! Works a treat!
Wanted to move dumpy bag full of garden waste across gras. I had rode on mower and not enough strength to lift it on to trailer so concocted a sledge made from Carpet, a fence post and strong string.

A less arm aching way to transport a bike from A to B with another bike was what I wanted to achieve, and also without buying anything new, and in a simple effective way, also without disassembling any bikes. After a few hours I came up with this idea. It worked a treat for me! I can see this idea saving people a heap of money on petrol and let’s face it, with fuel prices going through the roof...

Cooking a Christmas dinner without an oven is possible. It may not look the same as an oven roast but for a meal that could be cooked on a camping stove it tastes amazing in my opinion. Happy Christmas and I hope this inspires someone to create a special meal in 1 pot!

Now Then! Once you have climbed the tree to pick your apples you don't want to be running up and down a ladder to put the apples in a box. What you need is a bag that you can fill whist standing on the ladder. here is my improvisation of a apple pickers chest bag. It works. Remember where you saw It last Over And Out!

Flame diffusers are very handy for toasting bread on when you don't have a toaster on hand or the electricity to run one. With a plate on the top and temperature turned down they make a handy little stove top oven! Remember where you saw It last!
