How long did that take? I have a 2003 Honda Accord that could use this "upgrade" , but at almost 73 years old, I'm not sure I'm up for it. Good job, by the way.

Hats off for taking on the project, that is how you learn. It did turn out quite nice. Now, how you went about separating the rails on that arm rest... that was youth and impatience and that sort of stuff gets a car guy in trouble and buying new parts. You got lucky. The tab you needed to press was in the middle of that bracket about half way in. Your tool of choice was poor. Buy tools when you can.

Leatherique is made for uncoated leather. New cars all have a synthetic coating for which Leatherique really does nothing. Just use a diluted APC solution and wipe with a microfiber cloth and your good. I use Leatherique on my Italian leather furniture, and for that it is awesome.

Might have accomplished what you set out to do but it's definitely bumbling through the tasks. Separating the sliding mechanism: ua-cam.com/video/ZgSXvKSOxkc/v-deo.html Also, rather than a general adhesive, there are automotive upholstery adhesives you should use. I think they have a higher temperature tolerance so the fabric doesn't separate in the oven-like temperatures cars can reach in the summer months.

Love me some Acura's. I've got two 2003 CL-S', one an automatic (Headers, Intake, 18" Wheels, AV6 trans swap), and a 6 Speed. I love them both, but can't wait to step up to a newer TL, or RL AWD. Love the looks of these TSXs though, I just prefer the J series.
