Totally newbie here. Will the mic record without the receiver? I want to record video on gopro and have audio recorded separately for riding on a motorcycle.

I noticed your light did not come on with you samson mic. Mine did the same when I plugged the XLR into my comica link and I plugged my comica link into my camera. Does the light not come on? It did come on when I did the usb connection to my computer

Helpful video.. funny. Get a Hohem Joy gimbal to stabilize your phone video. They are cheap and work well. In fact, you can review it . ;-)

Great video! Just received mine friday. Looking forward to see how it works with my Dji rc controller. Also, going to try a mini Bluetooth transmitter in Rx's headphone port, to use with my earbuds. Hope it works.

I have the Canon R50 using the Fulaim x5 mic system. How do I listen to the external mic recording through my ear buds when playing back 4k clips? Each time, I only hear the darn R50 internal mic!

Great video! The only issue I am having with the microphone that I cant figure out is how do I get the audio off the receiver storage and onto my laptop? I plugged the USB c cable in but nothing pops up!

Ive listened to a couple of reviews were this mic sounded tiny and weak. One reviewer sent her's back. So there are some dud copies around. Im going to risk it tho, as the internal batteries will probably only last about 3 years, and the DJI and Rode are to expensive for a product with the life. Question why did you use it as a backup in your appraisal at the end, why not let us here the quality in studio, seems a strange thing to do.

Finally, someone who knows audio and can break it down into layman's terms. By far, the best Fulaim x5 tutorial. 👍

Great review! - Have you tested the battery life to see if it stacks up to the manufacturer claims? - I'm seeing inconsistency there, some say 6 hours, some say 8, but can't find a test. Also, size wise, they claim to be 1.8x smaller and 1.7x lighter than the DJI transmitter (47x26x13mm 18g on the X5 vs the DJI 47x30x20 30g), while having better battery, I mean, woah! - Is that true or are they exaggerating the specs?

Losing magnets? I have a bunch of button magnets for use with fridge magnets. Dirt cheap. Same size. Easily available. No problem.

Get a little bag for the wires, windmuffs etc: Absolutely.

I use my IPhone 13 Pro Max to do my TikTok Live Streaming, I got these as a present, but not sure how to connect them for Live TikTok sessions…. Help !

AN Excellent Review my Friend. I changed out for the Fulaim, the rode wireless go I had. first day out, there goes the wind muff of the X5, I basically glued my own Muff on and hte case closes fine. I totally agree with your points, the OTG conn, slip off the back they should have sunk them in. I find at times my audio is good and other times excellent and the Sony ZV-1 M2 is dialed in that you have to play with the Db of it all I can highly recommend, over the expensive DJI that will not drop in price, maybe I'll get a single tx/rx of dji one day Happy with mine again thank you FISH ((LIKED))

You should do a video comparison with this mic and the xD comica boom pro cause this mic looks like it’s competing with this mic but is twice the price

But for your question, it’s such a modern day most people think the only people that exist are the ones who just flat out do bad things, use derogatory words, or discriminatory words they don’t believe that’s there’s people like you that don’t, agree with all that cussing non-sense but it’s mostly tictok that’s gives young children the idea and mindset to commit wrong, do wrong, say wrong and things like that. Or the shows about violence such as certain movies you know all that stuff. or they’ll see their friends do it and then try to play along
