I am a tutor that loves to help. It makes my day when I see a student do something they couldn't previously do. Learning is the way we can push our current boundaries and grow. It would be so much fun to teach you!
Email me at Joeys.Studio@yahoo.com to set-up a lesson. I do virtual lessons and for those near me, I also give in-person lessons. I also have a few books available for purchase.
No matter whether you're a student (lessons) or a teacher (remove some of the weight on your shoulders), I'm confident I can help.

Can you do jig2 pls I subscribe
A lot of people march Drum Corps at 14 aka when they are in middle schoolm
Clean dirty but clean
The snare sounded a little out of maintenance. I recommend teaching a kid that is in eighth grade (for middle school) Or a senior (for highschool) how to tune the drums, and have them teach a grade or two younger how to do that too before they leave. My highschool (AHS Union) has a senior who I'd say is our 'drum tech'. He fixes our harnesses and tunes our drums. Its a solid idea!
I agree for HS (part of my curriculum is that High Schoolers tune their own drums if they want to be in the drumline) however, that's almost impossible with middle school since they're prepping contest after contest after performance after showcase Since we try to give MS students as many performances as possible, there's no time to teach the behind the scenes (or maintenance) until they get to HS where staying until 7p is the norm (we only get to keep MS until 5p at the latest)
Hello, I am taking drumline cadence requests, go on my channel and find the video, comment on it, and let me know which cadence you want me to play! Have a nice day
Absolutely awesome!! I love the drive you have!! How about an easy cadence from FreeDrumlineMusic.com? I have elementary drumlines that would love a reference video!!
@ sounds great! Thanks, I’d be honored to show an example for your drumlines! I’ll let you know when I have it finished. It will include tenor parts and snare parts!
How about I showcase genesis?
@Gavinlikesmusic2635 That'd be awesome!!
@@JoeysStudi0 alright! I’ll work on it!
coolest thing ive ever seen
Do you guys not have uniforms we have full blow capes and outfits with a uniform shirt under it too
Nah, not for the middle schoolers, they just wear the school shirt High School gets the uniform with a plume 🤣
Dang ok well it sounds good nice job
What head is on that snare?
I'm using a Pancake Pad to muffle the head
@ okay! It looks very unique
What district
We're at the Tip o' Texas, nearby McAllen and Edinburg
@ oh ok I thought y’all’s district was PSJA
@Jeremy.Garcia.2012 yes it is, I figured you were out of state and didn't know what PSJA is since we're not on the map 🤣
@ oh ok
tbh when i played it was so hard but in practice it seemed so easy.
Did you learn it by ear?! That's wild!! Congratulations on isolating his part and his beats! Great ear!! 👀
I can do it better
@@EthanMcCall-i7u Goals
Trixon tenors aren’t bad 🗣️🗣️
Tuning matters 😁
This is fire 🔥
Great job! Just make sure to hit near the edge so it’s not a thuddy sound
I've noticed the Goldilocks zone is halfway between the edge and center I appreciate the feedback back! Some of my playing zones were too close to the center 😊
Banger 0:00
That’s not a jig two
This solo is an excerpt from the drumline cadence
oh yeah im that ginger 😎😎
🤣
That is a big snare
Marching Snares got some girth to them
@ mine is a skinny Yamaha 😭 but my school use system blue
@Percussion-clips hopefully high school has some better gear 😁 middle school is looked at as training for high school
@@JoeysStudi0 our middle use short Yamaha tuned hella high😭
@Percussion-clips 🤣
Nice solo 🥁🥁
almost started hating and realized this is middle school
What snare is this?
Trixon and / or Thomas Brands tend to use the same generic design, most of the tone you get depends on the heads and how they're tuned
@ idk i just need something cheap lol idk what drums i can find tho
@ tbh im looking for a drum thats cheap and will work good with the “Evans Hybrid Drumhead”
Trixon is cheap but I think Facebook Marketplace would be considerably cheaper
What tempo is this one?
60 - 66, I would go 63 or 64
Jig 2 is literally so in sync. Music to my ears literally.
As a percussionist, those harnesses HURT
Big Facts!!
as a quad player it’s not really that bad
Noice explenation👍 btw what pad is that you are using?
Ahead with the white metal rim
Btw does the tempo affect the all region?
Yes, you'd want to stay as close to the marked tempo as possible (80 - 86 in this case)
Nice 👍
His jeans are sick
damn white knuckle stroll in 7th grade is super impressive, nice!
I am doing it at 80 tempo with the eighth note one
Awesome! You can slow the recording to 0.75x in the settings under Playback Speed
Alright
I’m one of the students you teached us in the afternoon

@@JoeysStudi0先生なのですね✨さすが経験豊富な方は違いますね👏😃
I teach elementary through high school, the younger students tend to need more help and resources than the high school students since the high school students have more experience, they learn faster than the youngsters 😊
@@JoeysStudi0そうなんですね。先生というお仕事は素敵ですね😊
I hate jig 2 now bc it’s sooooooooooooo overplayed
🤣 I don't hate it educationally / pedagogically but yes, it is very overplayed 🕺

Nice flip
Good job.🎉

@@JonathanCisneros-s4e what r they
Holy cow im famous
I’m learning this now 😭
Sweet never seen a snare solo for jog but that’s sweet
My band played that song so many times 😂😂😂 but it sounds great😁
Tune up pls dog, don't play to loud to where your solo isn't clean
Is it me or does one sound out of tune
Cool snare solo never seen that before but few things. 1. In my opinion the snare looks a little high but that could just be point of view. 2 they sound out of tune again could be the video frequency not the snare. 3 he attempts the stick flip nicely but doesn’t give a good down beat so I recommend it like a regular stick hit but with a added flip I feels like he thinks he flops then hits but in my opinion I feel it’s easier to do it in a foul swing then to do 2 individual directives like flipping the stick then hitting the snare which is why I do it in a foul swoop. Also last thing I like how there’s a snare solo but (just in my opinion)i feel as if a tenor solo was added with the snare as a duo would sound amazing but during the solo I heard a lot of random accents and as a marching snare percussionist I find it to sound better with a rythem you practice with a metronome to fix it up as I think to many accents make it sound messy even tho it could played perfectly also I like the thought of it as I tried his rythem in my own way with not so many accents and rims shots I think it would sound a lot better if he added some flams or rims shots when it’s playing but at it all could sound better in person than it does thru a video keep practicing I think you got a lot of potential
I've been trying to force time in my schedule to tune the drums but teaching at 7 schools is rough 💀 I try to give as many students as possible the opportunity to solo and I heavily enforce that they improv or compose their own solos ahead of time I haven't been able to really teach proper backsticking either because I need to teach music to everyone, not just visuals to those that can handle them 😅 It's crazy tough to balance but I think they're all doing great for being in 7th and 8th grade 🥁🎹🕺
dude. some people are saying to tune the drums. i think that snare sounds fucking sick
Fr me to idk why they hating
Probably because puccuson is better
@@nicolewaldo7724 frrrr
you might be tone deaf cause that tuning is buns
@@Morozco_ im not lmao
Did anyone else notice the tenor player giving their tenors to someone else?
I’m assuming it’s that kind of thing where they have other schools come to perform with like the high schoolers for a game. I also did that so I’m assuming that’s what it is.
Yes, we had the high school and both their feeder middle schools combine for that night!!
@@JoeysStudi0 For my experience we had Bobby Duke Middle School’s Concert Band & After School Drumline, play with Coachella Valley High School’s Marching Band for a Football Game.
@@christobalinaperez6193 Yoooo!! That's awesome!! Glad to see drummers playing together!! What an awesome experience!!
