Those last fights were way too dark! The MP Aug skirmish and team up with number 2 was dope but it was so hard to make out what was going on lol. Hope they could re-edit that original vision of the fight on a blu ray release or something 🙏

My closest thing to this, is the anime Kikaider as a kid. I'm in my 30s and after watching this I looked up bikes and red scarfs online. This movie is deep but still speaks to your inner kid

The movie felt overtly ambitious but poorly planned The spider aug is a great start, the bat was disappointing, the scorpion.... Is just there, the wasp is cool and one of the highlight of the movie, hopper II is honestly fun and definitely my most rewatch part, the mass augments fight is literally just black screen and barely visible (like how is this fight even get a pass as watchable while editing?), the final fight can be annoying with the weird lighting for the room but it's enjoyable enough. 6/10, a much downgrade from Shin Ultraman but better than Shin Godzilla.

The distribution rights for this film are stuck in limbo. I feel like because the film didnt do well in japan, the studio backing the project find the film not financially feasible to localize this for in the west since there isnt a gurentee on high returns, so it just dumped it on amazon prime with closed captions.

I didn't sleep in it. I bought a back then and beat it. I still have it in my game collection.

imagine hating a guy as cool as gentaro. i bet its just easier to see yourself as the guy who gets stabbed in Zio movies than the guy who wins by making his enemies friends.. all that said uchuuu kitaaaaa

I played it once only once though

Shin kamen rider was exeptional in its best part, but man, the worst parts are the lowest to me. From the easly recognisable iphone shots, the confusing coreography, the awful, overused, cgi was tough to swallow. Shin godzilla is far better both in cinematogrphy and pacing, and also makes a better useage of cgi. After shin kamen rider, i watched kamen rider the first and man, that film is just a better version of shin kamen rider apart from the musics; the stunts, designs, and usage of iconic moves, kamen rider the first is just better while being basically the same film. Shin kamen rider is loyal to a fault to the original, and the shaky, over zoomed shots were probably the worst part. No wait, the scorpion lady was.

I love Shin Kamen Rider so much. I kept up with all the updates of the film since it was announced. Watched it twice at my local theater. If they had more showings, I would had went back. To me it’s a 10/10. Everything I wanted and more. I pray every day for a sequel aka Masker World. Please Anno-san don’t let us Shin Kamen Rider fans down. 😭 🙏

3:05 the second Amazon level was originally supposed to be one level with the first, which is why you are climbing down the hill that you climb up on in the first level, so that's why it feels a bit repetitive

I remember going to gamestop randomly after work one evening and finding the game new on the shelf. I was surprised I had not heard of the game from any game magazine. Got it and loved it ever since.

I played this game hella lots back before my PS2 got stolen. I could never beat the Megatron battle though, and skipping it with a cheat code just left me with unicron running away too fast to catch. Still fun, though.

Way back in the mists of time I sold a lot of games I no longer played (including Pokemon Blue and Silver, have Yellow and Crystal) in order to buy a PS2 and a copy of this game, while I do kinda regret selling the old games, I don't regret playing this game.

On the edge of my 30 years, I'm so happy to still have my PS2 slim and this amazing game! It was wonky and heavy in some mechanics? Sure, but damn I loved it!

What really sold me on this game back in the day was the enemy AI. Facing off against the clones they would take cover, flank you, change tactics... in an era where most games just had enemies run straight at you once you entered their range. The feel of running them over, transforming, and shooting the remainder in the face was super satisfying.

I actually had this game and played it all the time. Sadly, I never finished it.

I still have this game floating around in my garage. It did get repetitive, but I still loved this game. I remember the Tidal Wave battle being brutal. This might even still be the best TF game made. The FoC series was great, but I feel like they were just re-capturing the best parts of this game.

Man, trying to emulate this game was a pain in the butt, because not only the game is really heavy on gpu, other things like fps will get worse if you try to fix the graphic, i made alot of error trying to emulate this on PC, and don't even try emulating this in mobile, your flagship chip WILL NOT hold up to transformer 2004

if funny how the designed way to fight tidal wave was the 'fly up and give him the laser shave', yet barelly any player did that

Dude this game was A GEM. My dad and I played this one when it came out. If you have a PS2 or ....*cough* emulate.....please play this, it's awesome!!!

What you mean I slept on it? I loved this game as a kid. It was my introduction to Tidal Wave before seeing him in Armada's show, and it made me fall in love with the giant brute.

Such a good game but for some reason the Amazon music made me uneasy. I was sooo happy thinking we'd be able to roam around cybertron, but unfortunately we weren't able too

I always heard it as “pack his warp transponder” until recently. He actually says “hack” which makes so much more sense. And there actually is a semblance of a “story” throughout the game that’s really smart. The Autobots go the Amazon to track the original Mini-Con signal sent to Cybertron. Then Jolt, Sparkplug, and Longarm send out another signal which leads them to Antarctica. After taking down Starscream, they go back to the Amazon since that’s where they know Cyclonus is (from the Heavy Unit boss). After defeating Cyclonus, they track the escaping Dropships to the mid-Atlantic. Right before the Tidal Wave fight, they find out Tidal Wave was heading towards Alaska, which they think might be where Megatron is at. After scouting Alaska and having another run-in with Starscream, they hack his warp transponder which leads them to the Pacific Island. I can’t remember where exactly I picked up on this, maybe it’s in the mission descriptions or somewhere, but once I realized this, it really elevated the game in my eyes.

It wasn't slept on basically store allways confuses them with the G1 version, thats the game that more well known Especially in countries that Sony not officially selling PS in, its even harder to get Original games and hatdwares, and the "pirates" just as confused that there are multiple kinds of Transformers game, and the Bay's transformers happen this game jusy get more and more buried

IIRC, the reason they couldn't do the chase scene in the rain was because they couldn't make it work with the CGI at all.
