Policing is so different now. The policing model today is (put the fewest number of cops on the road to manage calls for service. Community outreach is not “cost effective” to the bean counters. The few special assignments that still do exist are few and far between. There doesn’t appear to be any community engagement for some reason.

The difference from 1970 to the 2020s is,,, manners Just saying In the early years,,, parents taught manners,, respect your elders,,, respect the fire fighters,,,and definitely respect the law,,,that meant police officers,,, judge's,,, exedra,,,,if you don't have respect of family,,, country,,,and law enforcement,,,they don't respect,,, anything,,,and they don't pin point,,,the individual that is the problem,,,and pin all cops,,as the same,,,all political parties are the problem,,,not just the bad apple,,, because,,, having manners,,you also learn to mind your business,,,when you don't know wants going on,,,if it's criminal,,,the law will handle it,,,so if you have a cop that did something wrong,,they think the other cops,,are to stop the other cops,,,but,,they haven't been taught manners and in them manners,,,you learn your actions are yours alone,,,so you know who has not been taught this,,, because they are the one's always in shit,,,they know nothing about,,and blame everyone,,, instead of the person or persons that is the problem,,,so the cop from 1970 to 1990,,,had people that respected them,, even the criminal's,,,the cops from 1990 to 2010,,,started seeing the start of no manners,,,so they had people who didn't respect them,,,the cops from 2010 to 2018,,,if your born after 2000,,,the cop doesn't know if you have manners or not,,,and the biggest problem,,,some of the police ,,,are these kids,,who was not taught manners,,,messing the look of police officers,,,so people have encounters with these cops,,and they are disrespectful to the public,,,and because,,,the no manners,,, generations ,,,have destroyed humanity in america,,,not guns,,games,,or any other thing,,,if you don't respect your neighbor,, cops,,store clerk,,or anybody,,,you don't have respect for your self,,,and you get bad drunks,,no happy one's,,,you get bad druggies,,not happy one's,,you have the bad speeder,,who is going to yell at you,,, instead of respecting he made a mistake,,,and the cop has a job to do,,,and apologize to the cop,,,for stopping you,,and in dangering you and himself,,,with other cars driving by,,we need to start respecting humanity,,and start teaching love of country,,,and manners,,to respect yourself,,,by saving your humanity

As an officer in a neighboring agency. I can say that recently LPD won’t take their warrants when we find them.

Ms Wood is so spot on! She understands what it takes to police a community. Today’s local politician is wanting to “defund the police” and then wonder why crime is on the rise! I encourage everyone to watch Fall of Minneapolis.

Violence knows no political boundaries, and neither should our response. Seeing real examples of how guns can be altered into automatic weapons or even 3D-printed, along with the importance of proper storage and prosecuting felony firearms, brings the issue into sharp focus. This knowledge, combined with watching law enforcement and prosecution collaborate, not only enhances community safety but also empowers us as individuals to understand the critical role we can play in preventing violence and finding justice should we become victims. Thank you for the education.

@@karenjackson9030 thank you. You are spot on! One of our main goals is to be unifying. Not divisive or polarizing. We are truly thankful for your reply and your takeaway. Even when people don’t completely agree, we can still learn from the experience and improve (if we choose). When I clicked on your name to reply it took me to your UA-cam Chanel. I watched your video tribute to Jeff. Nicely done.
