EQ-AL55i Pro. Adjusting the DEC Backlash.
Hi Everyone, If you buy a Sky-Watcher EQ-AL55i Pro mount you may experience a bit of backlash in declination. This video takes you through the basic steps to adjust the backlash. This will hopefully help with better guiding. I'm still experimenting with guiding and how to get the best out of this mount. So subscribe to the channel if you want to follow along on the journey.

3rd Video attempt of the moon, Equipment Used Skywatcher 130EQ2 Canon EOS 500D 2x Barlow Taken 24/11/2023 22:15pm A much better video of the moon, Full 1080p New telescope is excellent. Has a parabolic mirror rather than the spherical mirror of the Astromaster. Still need to collimate it correctly.

Thanks, I might redo this video as I don't like the voice track I used and forgot to add a timelapse clip. So if you have any suggestions or want to know anything about the SV705c then ask away and I will include it in a reupload.

The answer is, Yes you can use the SV205c as a guide camera. it does work but there are some caveats. When I first got mine there was no gain control. I spoke with the supplier who coded a new firmware. That gave me gain control. In PHD2 the gain needs to be at max (128). Leave exposure to auto and let PHD2 stack the frames together.

Nice video! I'm thinking of getting this exact mount for my reflector, but I'm unsure of the part that holds the two rings that hold the telescope tube. Can you tell me what it is?
I purchased a vixen dove tail to mount the tube rings on when I bought the mount
