The incomparable and the great Ms. Esther Rolle
How could they not put up Roddy McDowall as Cornelius. Such an iconic role of the 70’s. Sci-Fi just didn’t get proper respect in the 90’s.
Phil Hartman was so sad
I know this word for word😂😂
I loved Roddy Mcdowall💜💜
And about Sinatra, died in 1998?
They did a separate tribute
3:13 Someone please tell me which movie was this cause Kevin Costner was not in Titanic. I felt bad for not knowing it.
Billy says, "I can't imagine a worse disaster." Kevin Costner appears in this clip from Titanic because in 1997 (the year this awards ceremony is for), he directed and starred in "The Postman" (hence Billy referring to him as the postman and asking to deliver the envelopes). This was his second overbudget, way too long film (after the more famous "Waterworld"). He's in this scene because Titanic was overbudget, way too long, but it got 14 nominations, eventually winning best picture.
Price ?
Starting from 3000
I remember being so excited to see the opening video and song when Billy Crystal was the host. The best and most hilarious Oscars host ever

Back when it was about entertaining people,
Billy Crystal. Speechless. Nobody can hold a candle to him.😊
And we all lived happily ever after as a one big happy family as grandparents and grandson 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘 💘.
We love each other no matter what 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉.
And these are my grandfathers Phil hartman and e.g. marshall who I love with all my heart 💕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
These are my grandmothers esther rolle and jeanette Nolan who I love very much 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗.
Billy Crystal you are genius
We need Billy back hosting
Back when people could actually take a joke 😂
Bravo Mr Crystal. You never disappoint. I’m absolutely so happy having a rest from our world today. And you can tell how much Hollywood loves him. Gratifying.
This one and the 2000 with American Beauty soundtrack I watch over and over, I have no idea but it emotional tears me up?
See the Oscar Memoriam with Stan Lee, etc. It had an orchestra performing the moving music track from the movie, "Superman." I believe it was called "Leaving Home," or something like that. That was a nice tribute.
I always knew that this day would come
Jeanette Nolan was marvellous in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, rip. I remember Dane Clark well, he was very good
I love this!
Of course, one person not mentioned that had a great impact on film was Gene Siskel. But Whoopi gave her own tribute to him in the show and the audience did applaud for it.
And Stanley Kubrick
When Robin Williams , my hero , chokes Billy . I’ll end you . I lost my lunch . Comic gold
Hysteria!!!! Back when the Oscar’s were worth watching.

Thank you for the list.
Billy Cristal is fantastic
Good ol' days of watching the Oscars.
I never realized Roddy McDowall was a child actor!
Back then when the oscars meant something.
No Stanley Kubrick?
He hadn't died yet.
Steven Spielberg paid his tribute to Stanley.
That ending...has me in tears. Beautiful tributes
I'm...I'm ...triggered by Crystal....in..in.... BLACKFACE!!! Why hasn't this video been flagged as a hate crime?!
The golden era of Crystal. A perfect blend of comedy and humility that equals CLASS.
Back when we used to wait for the awards esp for the intro...!
DAMN BILLY!!❤ WOULD HAVE MADE A GREAT 👍 DRAG 👸 QUEEN!!❤ YOU LOOK, MAR VE LOUS!!❤
Back then when awards were won and not given.
The flowery mile immuhistochemically slow because block advisably mourn before a complete delivery. important, subsequent servant
This will never be topped. The skits go perfectly with the nominated films and the narrative, etc. perfection. Billy Crystal FTW.
The Oscars are all crap now.
p♥r♥o♥m♥o♥s♥m
1:20 wtf! He looks so good as a woman!
extraordinaire quel talent à mourir de rire!
Op,,,,,🎊👌🤪🤨😱😱😱😱🤯🤯
Billy Crystal is one of the last few great comics. This skit is absolutely genuinely hilarious. The only other times I’ve tuned in to the Oscars is to watch and laugh at the vomit inducing, self congratulatory, conceited, bloated ego, puke fest.
You watch the Oscars now and you don't even know what the hell the MOVIES are unless you've been following the year.
I find it interesting that some movies win an Oscar that haven't even been released yet. I mean, WTF?
