@@wild4fp The population was looking to see:-Less immigration. Instead we have seen an increase in immigration. We still see the same housing crisis, the same NHS at breaking point, same schools with huge class sizes. The same driving down of wages.

You do realise that there were another 17.5 million who wanted to leave?

The benefits will abolishing publicly funded healthcare and replacing it with a US style private system where Brits will have the luxury of medical bankruptcy.

It is only political nerds like myself following the Brexit show. If the UK sailed away overnight, the majority of the population on the continent would not even notice it, they don't care about the UK. The UK don't offer anything to the ordinary man/woman. In 2024 The EU starts to take their part of London City. Ironically, an Irish woman in charge of the project "Take what is ours", namely Mairead McGuinness. The braindrain has already started. Science in the UK complains of lack of funding. So if they want a big funding for a project, they need to move to the real Europe and pay tax there and do research for real Europe. The UK competing with the EU in economic matters, is the same as the UK declare war on the US. The outcome is certain. Thnx, for reading my rant.

@@garrywynne1218 No, the UK is their original destination from day one since they often have connections there (family, friends, language etc). They still think that the UK is a paradise. It will take a while before it becomes common enough knowlegde that it is in fact a country on a downward trajectory of economic problems, nationalistic politics and delusions of grandeur.

Can't really blame those people. The fault is at the government making such a decission open for a referendum. It's like asking a welder for medical advice on heart sugery... Regular citizens shouldn't of been asked to stay or to leave for the simple fact that citizens arent aware of what goes on behind the scene, all the intricate complexities of remaining or leaving the EU. They pay taxes to the government to work these things out they should of done the job they were paid for instead of shoving it into the hands of the citizens. Ontop of it all citizens were lied to about what leaving the EU would mean. And although I do find the citizens who voted to leave greatly naive I also find that if they weren't lied to such a disgusting degree the majority of those who voted leave wouldn't have gone down into the rabit hole so blindly as they eventually did. UK government is the greatest shame of the nation for Brexit and guess who will die a very sad death after a lifetime of watching the UK a once powerful world empire crumble into a lonely island of struggle trying to compete with far greater trade markets. The Queen. With that said, I hope the rest of the EU-union learned something from this. If you leave the great single market you're in for a walk of shame. Thank you UK for this valuable lesson.
