What a wonderful tribute to grandpa and grandma! It's really good to see you and uncle Tom!❤❤❤
YES yes he would terrify the crap out of us!!! I remember my trip to this cabin vividly. This is PRICELESS
That was definitely my favorite video, too! You can tell it was a very heartfelt episode, especially for your dad ❤
My favorite video yet!! Have so many fond memories at this cabin with these special people. Love hearing their voices and seeing the places we spent in our youth there. And if course love the accordion music by grandpa 😅
Love it! Very special video! Great job!!
I have an 83 long wheel base SJ410 I’m putting a 1.6 TD in that I’ve rebuilt. Great video.
@@davekeehn8388 awesome. Would love to see that project. I've got a 1.9 sitting waiting for the next project. Probably be spring before I get to start on it though. It's gonna be a huge project
It's awesome you still learning from your dad. Soak up everything, from the knowledge to even just his presence with. You never know what tomorrow holds. On a different note. Im work on getting my Z car back on the road and i might try to get you to do some small welding for me. Keep up the good work.
@@gizmo30514 Appreciate it man, dad is one of the best fabricators and mechanics I have ever met. Greatly wish I had paid attention sooner. Holler at me when ya need some help. I'll see what I can do.
Sooo glad I found you guys! I grew up in Middle Tennessee and have been living in Baja California for a dozen years now. If you guys ever want to see some amazing sights down here, get in touch!
@@lovebaja Thanks for the support! We are based in North East GA but venture into TN ofter, only about 30 min away. Love it here and always looking for new places to explore. Feel free to email me at theunlikelyoverlander@gmail.com Lead me to some new spots and I'll mail ya out some stickers and a cookie. Thanks again!
So how far is the town where did these people live
Check out our video on the town. Nothing left of the town at this point. ua-cam.com/video/vSpsFEa1Cow/v-deo.htmlsi=yqyFb6yD0IBm7vcW
I don't get why all engines aren't non-interferance. I only have a 1.6 8v but if the timing belt snaps at least it won't damage anything. My 84' Isuzu 2.2 (interference) ⛽️ diesel has 130,000 trouble free miles, so it is parked until I get off my lazy butt and replace the timing belt rather than wait until it breaks. Have you done the Heater Core refresh yet? It's a shame some numb nut shot the body with Bed Liner. It's kinda tacky when youtubers beg for likes and subs 🤡
@speedfreak8200 heater core was taken out and cleaned right before I sprayed the body with bed liner. Yes I put it on because I would rather have it than ruining a paint job the first time I head into the woods. So sorry asking for subs offends you, must be your first time on youtube. We have to ask for subs if we want to keep growing and making content. Have a great day
So did it all go well, it sounded rough at first, but you drive away so im guessing surgery was a success!!
@@jennifersaxon5392 still have to time the injection pump and work out some issues. Smoking to much and down on power.
Oh yall, I love watching your videos. You guys are like two greasy surgeons. Cracking me up about, dont kniw what dad is trying to tell me here, had a dream he was flying. 🤣
I watched the whole video, liked the whole thing and learned how to tear down an engine.
Lili watched the whole video with me! During the scene where the camera is staring at your dad over the engine she said "that's so funny!"
Lol that is awesome! That shot cracked me up too. I overheard a friend of mines son telling people I was on youtube the other day. Me and his dad didn't even realize he knew I was lol.
True freedom!!! Beauty car !!!🤩💪🏻🔝🚜
Dang it, sounds like some mechanical set backs. 😮
?
Zuk getting gritty!
Like the undercarriage view, thats new i think. How do yall do that?
That idea belongs to Hunter...mostly. he wanted to put the camera down low by the creek. I said the camera is waterproof just set it in the creek and we will drive over it lol
I dig it! Good job @@theunlikelyoverlander
Good video!
Stunning views, thanks for taking us along for the ride! Also, birds are awesome! Those were American crows.
The ones that say 'mother' 'father' 'brother' are called foot stones. that is the end on the grave. The person that it belongs to is the first stone you come to with the name etc. on it. That is the 'head' stone. Not all headstones have a footstone. The one you thought might be a bird bath could have been but another possibility is a family stone that was place at the four corners of a family plot.
@@Angela-qe7qg thanks for the info. I had not been in an old graveyard since I was a kid so couldn't remember. Not places I try to frequent. Lol
Looks like a great day
that Morrisons Outdoors Sticker is awesome! was the first thing I noticed
Haha thanks. Picked that up at the overland adventure summit in KY this year
Sweet clips
may i know what van is it there? seems ok off-roading.
@@kennethleungs the black SUV? It is a 2002 isuzu trooper. It does well. Biggest limitation is the IFS. We will be solid axle swapping and doing a diesel swap at some point.
@@theunlikelyoverlander wow! big projects! awesome you!
The OG sxs👍
Looks like fun! we need to head down there and check those out! the filming style is great!! I like channels that just show the action!
@@Kingston100LC thanks so much. We are still learning and growing but have big plans. Be sure to subscribe. We are going to start building a very unique rig in the next 2 or 3 months
I have eaten at the universal joint! It was really good, and they have Bold Rock Ciders on tap, a plus for me.
@@ahbeyra it was good but not nearly as good as in the past. Plus the 18 dollar burger was worth nowhere near that. But all part of the adventure lol
You cooked wieners and a wild Kelly didn't show up?! Shocking!
Lol, it's rare but it does happen.
I really enjoy the tire camera view in the water and mud 😄. Keep these awesome videos coming!
Glad you like them!
I'm gonna watch the rest of this later, but it's great. The scenes are spectacular. Cool save on the trooper samurai😂. Your music is awesome 😎
I saw you guys on Saturday at Sarah’s creek ❤
@@Ashere001 Awesome! We had a good time exploring despite the fact I was not feeling well. That video should be up in a day or 2.
Great video. Is that a suzuki? It's an amazing little beast

@theunlikelyoverlander already subscribed and that sounds awesome! Can't wait😊
Finding graveyards is pretty common. Most families had them right by their house.
There was no closed caption but ida loved to watch it

@@theunlikelyoverlander thanks for the support boss. I look forward to where you’re taking your channel. Just keep posting, you’ll pass me up in no time! 🤘😎
Is it possible that was a house and it burned down with everyone inside? And they put all the stones in the exact spot they were found. Things like that were done back then!
@@dodgeguyz had not considered that but there were other families there as well so I'm not sure. Definitely something to think about.
Sometimes just a piece of field stone is all that was used...
@@jacksonholenc good to know. Love learning new things!
Let's go!! Love the music and Gandolph.

That was cool guys. Fascinating about the cemetery there in McFarland. Enjoyed the spider and beetle.
