Dive 200 weekend - Key Largo, Florida - Dec 2024
Although James already created a video of the 4 dives we did with him on December 6th, 2024, we still figured we'd create a compilation with the videos we took. The music we added took a turn from the usual and the footage from within the Spiegel Grove felt particularly mischievous ;)
From the video we posted from James:
We wanted to make our 200th dive a little extra special, so we planned an impromptu trip to meet up with @DiversReady James Blackman to lead 4 personal wreck dives including the 'City of Washington', 'Hannah M Bell' and the popular 'USS Spiegel Grove' in Key Largo, FL. We could not have asked for better dive conditions, dive sites or dive leader. James was kind enough to compile this short video of our experience from his point of view. The experience was beyond what we could have imagined. James is a true gentleman with a wealth of information, the crew at Horizon Divers are incredible and the Spiegel Grove was absolutely awe inspiring.

Underwater Pumpkin Carving - October 19, 2024
Переглядів 1122 місяці тому
An annual event from Scuba Finatics, divers from the area meet up in October at Challies Pond to carve up some pumpkins under water. This will likely be our last 'green water' dive of the year and it's the last of our camping. With so many people at one trampoline 30ft underwater, it can get chaotic. This visibility drops considerably throughout but is a lot of fun regardless.

Challies Pond (Quarry) - September 2024
Переглядів 2173 місяці тому
A small, quiet, out of the way quarry near home. It's crown land which makes camping on its shore possible. A large area with a maximum depth of 35' and stocked with fish makes it a fun little scuba getaway. Some of the fish are also the friendliest you'll find...
An evening at Lock 23 - Morrisburg, ON (July 17, 2024)
Переглядів 2165 місяців тому
As part of our traditional Wet Wednesday outing, we opted to join a group doing the full Lock 23 drift from Old Canal street to the public municipal beach in Morrisburg, ON. The water temperature was 23C (73F), the current was average (for the area), and the visibility was about as expected. We hit most of the highlights of the drift but kept a constant pace to ensure adequate air for all those...

First St-Lawrence dive of 2024 (Centeen Park)
Переглядів 8167 місяців тому
Our first cold water dive of the season with an average water temperature of 15c (59F) and no thermocline. Centeen park is considered a scuba playground with many statues to see, some more advanced wrecks and multiple places to practice skills in an easy access/low current environment. saveontarioshipwrecks.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Centeen-park-map-2018.pdf

This represented our dive 6 and 7, so technically 2nd and 3rd non-training open water dives. We thankfully had a group (Scuba Finatics) which kept an eye on us during these initial dives.

A week of shore diving for Mel and I, which equates to exactly 13 hours underwater across 15 dives and condensed down to a 17-minute video. Rather than chronological, the video shows some highlights from lighter to darker. We're both using the GoPro 11s and only had use of Al80 tanks, no nitrox so we kept our dives relatively shallow. A special thanks to Sean, a newly discovered scuba buddy who...

    What kind of camera?

We both have a GoPro 11 with a standard underwater case. No lights. We shoot at 4k but bring the video clips down to 1080p in post because the file sized become a little crazy.

Where do you mount your gopro? The motion is very fluid, not jerky at all.

    • @ScubaMM
      @ScubaMM 5 місяців тому

Not mounted, we simply have them in our hands. Our videos are shot on the GoPro 11 (we each carry one) and the HyperSmooth option works as advertised.

Hey, Hope you are well. I have watched your channel videos. Your video is great but your video optimization is very bad 1. SEO score is very low 2. No title - description - tags are SEO friendly 3. No shares are many problems on social media platforms and your UA-cam channel You need SEO for your UA-cam channel immediately. I am waiting for your response. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. I've been using UA-cam as more of a storage site to showcase our videos to people we know, since we're still very new to video creation. I appreciate the feedback and will do some research into what you've said. Seems like this is going to become yet another hobby which requires more knowledge than we initially figured.

@@SEO_Ruddro No doubt you could. It's something I'm going to look into because I enjoy learning/researching new things. I have a better understanding when I do the work, rather than just being told the answers. If I hit a wall, I'd appreciate being able to reach out.
