Arts & Crafts Display. The local version of a Toga Party - with some very unlikely Romans - and a glimpse of three wise men.

Excellent production. These images of the town and the accompanying soundtrack evoke within us evocative memories that confirm what we know in our hearts to be true when we take a moment to reflect; time is moving too fast.
I think the two men in coats at the front left are Josie Conway from Stradbally and Mr Keogh,Dick Sythes is. behind left? Great photos
You know you’re old when you remember the blue bridge
Wow you guys rocked!!!
Pure Class!
Very nice. I remember some of the shops from 70s onwards👍🏻
👍👍👍
Great video. Some nice memories
Is that Ritchie Whelan???
That's him.
That was nice to watch and listen to.
Very nice video John
Stumbled across this video. Brilliant! I grew up in the town in the 60s and 70s. Love Scully's barber's popping up. He used to say 'ah shur you're a great fella' over & over to distract you while he butchered your hair! Cheers!
Some great images in there makes you feel sentimental , very well put together.
Wow - fantastic stuff for sure, my gran uncle Patrick Ward - hadn't heard him sing until now! Wow! Great visuals and content, well done everyone.
Thanks. Glad you like it. I have great respect for Patrick Ward (who should be much better known and appreciated here in his birthplace). I'm always interested in hearing more information about him. There's a chapter on him on my website www.portlaoisepictures.com and in my book. Best wishes, John
Enjoyed that tremendously. Facts checked out by our grandfather(Eamonn O'Connell)
Thanks very much. Glad ye enjoyed it. Best wishes, John.
Brilliant to see all the old faces... pity so many are gone but there's plenty of life left in the ones still with us. Great stuff John, thanks for sharing
