Since I made a habit of learning golf as it was played before 2000 and before UA-cam, I am amazed at the many improvements I've made in my game. Jack has by far one of the most easy manner of explaining things and his technique has prevented me from injuring myself.
yup the dude had an absolutely phenomenal career, and its very likely it'll never get beaten, the fields are much more evenly matched than back in those golden days, wish I could go back and watch the old boys having a hit
"THE" GOAT! A great gentleman, family man, and golf genius. He hit the ball 300 yards before 300 yards was cool. And did it with a roughly 240cc wooden head. Lee Trevino had the best compliment. "Put modern clubs in Jack's hand's in his prime he would have hit the ball 400 yards!" SALUTE to ya Mr. Nicklaus!
Tell me what you want, but this man doesn't feel genuine and trustable to me. He looks more like a businessman. Honestly, for me Pete Cowen is totally on another level.
I learned the game from the original GMW video and Ben Crenshaw's the Art of Putting. Regrets changing my swing in the 80-90's as so called swing gurus came out. But these days I find myself going back to what I learned when I was in total control of my ball flights. He never changed his swing like tiger and his record WILL never be broken. PERIOD! Jack you will always be my Golf Idol!
Don't change your putting style. Especially if your similar to Crenshaw. I putt exactly as Nicklaus does. I tried the new way putting. The shoulder rocker style. It's ok but I did not always strike the ball well and made less putts and especially long putts. With Nicklause style I lagged a whole better. My swing is the same as Nicklaus. I hit a fade. I play a lot of mini tour golf. I have played in over 300+ events and have won 103. Alot of seconds and always finish top 10. Remember these events are 1 or 2 day events. Nicklaus swing for me just let's me swing freely.
"Just add twice as much break" that sounds ridiculous because it is. You cannot just add twice as much break. You have to learn to read the break properly. Does he ever teach that?
Jack is not only the best ever but has the most golf smarts. His brain works like a computer. Back the he had to worry about getting a balloon drive into the wind. No problem today with the low spin larger golf heads.
you'll notice in any Butch Harmon video that he can't actually hit a good shot after talking, even a basic one. You'll never see where the ball goes after the result of the first take. Look how there are more divots when it pans back to him talking after he hits his first shot.
haha... same thing when he hits the flop shot. It pans back to him talking and suddenly there is a big trench in the turf that wasn't there after he hit the shot. I wonder how many takes he needs to actually hit a good shot.
By all means. Butch has the nerve to charge $1500 per lesson. Just go buy Count Yogi's 5 Steps to Perfect Golf. Count Yogi is the truth. Butch Harmon represents the corrupt establishment.
Great video. Without purchasing a true roller, setting it up and dialing it in to find the perfect line, it’s still a combination of aim point and speed when putting. You can have the wrong line but perfect speed and make it or vice versa. This is what makes putting seem so easy but in reality hard.
@@alberthixson Guess you have never heard of Geoff Mangum? He has forgotten more than 99 percent of putting instructors think they know about putting. Only reason most have never heard of him is because The PGA of America has blacklisted him for not playing by their rules. He likes to give away information for free. Unlike Pelz, who has something new to sell every month.
Greatest player and an even better man🐐

Waste of time. Golf "instruction" is just a sales pitch. They dont give any really information
Great video, thanks for sharing with us.
shoulda kept the 7 big dawg 1:45
He's got the numbers to prove it

Great video. Is there an English translation?
Sorry...

This video is comfort food...

Hold me.
You gotta love Dave's fashion sense... He rocks...

Tiger is the GOAT in my book but hey, everyone has an opinion.

This bloke seems to know a little bit about golf

Quelle joie de voir Master Jack, quel grand champion , humble, simple , quelle élégance !

Look at the size of those Pom Poms on the head covers. 😮😮😮
is that the Butler Cabin guy??? “…and here they come now”

Utk 😮u
I worked on these methods for wedge, pitching, and chipping, mostly, and have really tightened up my short game. Thanks much for the video.
one of the great putters too. i'm gonna try his setup and style, my putting needs change up.
this is great content.
The GOAT
Oh, so that's how you win 6 Masters.
I havent heard term fat of the green in 25 years. I forgot about it
This is how I've always 'tried' to putt.
Many lessons can be learned from this video, Thanks alot
Earl Woods hated Butch. He always told ppl that Butch fucked up Tiger's genius swing and replaced it w/ a robot swing.
I wish somebody fucked up my swing so well :-)
Earl was a loud mouth with a chip on his shoulder.

Butch said if Tiger carried on with his old swing , he would be in a wheel chair in his 40s with a damaged back....thats why he changed it
@@tfootball8704 yeah but isnt he already kinda doing that?

Jaq has never hit a ball that fast in is life
But ball isn’t off his left instep? Confusing?
I think that it just looks like its not because of the camera angle.
when the stance is a little open the ball always appears to be back.@@kennethwood3984
@@kennethwood3984 I agree, I honestly don't think much went into making this the best it could hav been.
It 100% is.
He looks open at set up
He was always a little open and played a lot of fades. Same with tiger.

He's like the Ip man of Tiger
Brilliant video. Explains everything in one video.
The undisputed GOAT.
Cv be b. Hi c
Thank you for posting this video. It was when originally published, and still remains by far my favorite golf instructional series.
jack Nicklaus is the best teacher
Was so far ahead of his time it was ridiculous
Seems like he's still ahead. Pelz solved putting and people are still trying to figure it out.
