    Hi bro, I’ve seen your lifts, very impressive, honestly. Look, I know it sounds crazy, but I want to bench 100kg before 2025. My current record is 55kg, although I think I can do 60kg, but I failed because I was very fatigued. I literally started training a week ago, haha. I weigh 100kg and I’m 18 years old. I’m going to go all out for this goal and I don’t mind putting other things aside to achieve it. Do you think training chest 3 times a week is too much? (I’m talking about training chest, not training 3 times in total). In a video, a guy said that to lift more, you need to train at least twice, so does that mean 3 times is possible? I’m open to any routine that will help me reach this goal, although I also have another goal of 65kg bench press by the end of the month, haha. Congratulations on your lifts, and I would really appreciate a response from you. c:

    • @Pibodabo
      @Pibodabo 3 місяці тому

      I think 65 kg till the end of the month is doable but 100 kg, especially starting at 55 kg is a bit of a reach. You can bench 2 or 3 times a week depending on your other workouts and how much volume and intensity you can recover from. If your goal is to one day bench 100 kg then you shouldn't be doing any bodybuilding splits. It's best to focus on strength training and work on form and technique first. Master the basics and then start a conjugate type of program if you're in for longevity.

    I've been thinking about starting the Calgary 16 Week Program and it utilizes a lot of variations like pin presses, paused deadlifts and board presses, etc. it also has an exercise called bench + mini bands. What is the best band size for an exercise like this? Bands come in different sizes/tensions. Can you help?

    • @Pibodabo
      @Pibodabo 6 місяців тому

      I'd say start with micro-mini bands or mini bands depending on how much you can bench press.

    • @princeicio
      @princeicio 6 місяців тому

      @@Pibodabo I bench 120kg or 265lbs currently, but I'm asking you cuz I don't know what to buy. My program says mini bands so that's either 5lbs to 15lbs or 15lbs to 35lbs. Which one do you think I should go with?!

    • @Pibodabo
      @Pibodabo 6 місяців тому

      Minis are usually the red ones and they are 15 lbs to 35 lbs. The ones you see in this video are the monster minis. They are between 35 lbs and 50 lbs and the color used to be black, now it's green. You should get them from EliteFTS. I would start with the minis but if you bench that much you should definitely get the monster mini bands as well. I don't bench 120 kg and still use both so they shouldn't be a problem.
