Not like it was in the late 1960s early 70s there was so many more shops
Thank you for sharing! It’s beautiful ❤🙏
Great Yarmouth was booming in the 1990s and 2000s when a was a child. great memories too
5:03 okd trawmay tracks.
I strongly agree with the previous comment re the camera continually moving. This just highlights the immature technique employed by the person behind the lens.🤬🤬🤬
As regeneration of the Conge and north quay takes place, this will be a much watched video over the coming years
Yes didn’t think about that when I drive up there the other day to see quite a bit has been demolished..
I wish when taking views round a large church like this the camera would keep still for a minute on soe of the places. It is very drustrating to be jumping around all the time.
Is that the footbridge just before the Thickthorn Interchange (A11) Sliproad?
Hunstanton ?
Hi Neville- I was wondering if I could use your drone footage of Wroxham from 2020 for a promotional video for the Football Team?
I don’t see why not….
@@nevillej9408Thank You! I appreciate it, will be for about 20 seconds or so!
He do be mining
when the traiders move out not making money with high rents then the cows can move in
The market chips was the best in the world the best brewers gone cus of a cow shed..
one reason l try not to go to Gt Yarmouth anymore
So lucky to have this a 5 minute drive away.
Absolutely 💯 brilliant tune love Fleetwood Mac.❤️ From 🏴
Clouds going fast, surely should have been The Chain playing?
You could spend all the money in the world on Yarmouth and the locals would still moan. New Marina Centre - moan, new bridge - moan, new market - moan...
Probably because literally just meteres down the road from here, you will find needles on the floor, gangs with swords down their trousers and drug dealers handing out crack. But thats okay because new bridge. New marina Centre. New Market. While unemployment goes up. Poverty goes up. Homelessness goes up. Drug abuse goes up. Crime goes up. Violence goes up. But look at all the new, pointless things that aren't helping the issues. People are right to moan about this shit. Because it's money that has been wasted.
That's because the council waste so much council tax on useless woke project's ! I stood on the new bridge for thirty minutes and then got bored ! 28 cars and no lorries Who decided a new bridge was a good idea ! That sort of money could have done a lot for the Acle Straight to stop people dying ! What's more important ! could go on ! ( Outer harbour etc ) the seafront for the bucket and spade brigade I'm glad that Plant bloke is retiring we might have some change left !
@legsdymond2121 I've never heard a bridge or a leasure centre called "woke before" 😆😆 By bucket and spade brigade I'm assuming you mean the tourists, which without, yarmouth would be a lot worse off. I lived, worked and had to commute over the bridge for years, and it was pretty miserable at rush hour tbh, even more so if there had been any sort of accident near gapton, or one of the other bridges were closed. From what I've heard and seen so far, the new bridge has alleviated a lot of the traffic congestion so far. Even if they did dual the Acle straight, people would still moan.... its the yarco way, or say its woke 😆😆😆
Same at Mundesley today. In fact some fell while I was there.
Yes we are walking all the way around the Norfolk coast at the moment bit by bit and seen the cliffs slipping in most places…
@@nevillej9408 stay safe on your travels. 🙌
it looks like a tram shed.
Yes a complete waste of money, creating shops when the existing shops can't even be filled 😢 shame on you Yarmouth council😮
As far as I could remember, there was no empty ‘shops’ on the market. So Great Yarmouth council are probably very happy with the money spent and the income that it will generate for decades. If they were unfilled, the council would rightly be criticized. Unfortunately, empty shops are not unique to Great Yarmouth, its all over the UK.
I visited last week. I agree it does not have a market atmosphere, its more like a shopping centre. It’s a lovely, designed building. Very clean and perfect if it’s raining. My advice is don’t listen to the naysayers. Some people just don’t like change and object purely because its different to what they are used to. I give it 9/10
Suka tas laikrodis dar dabar neveike 😅😊😂
Surely The Hard Fisherman wearing shorts & T Shirt 😳😮
Happy new year to you and family 🙂👍🏻 Looks a very impressive display 👏
Yes Happy New Year to you and yours also…
Yes it was impressive but the traffic is horrendous….
Nice footage, is this literally straight down from the bank?
Yes…
Awesome

Does anyone know who this guy is? I've seen him busking in the city centre several times and I always stop for a while. His enthusiasm is infectious.
John O’Shea of The Moochers….
@@nevillej9408 thanks, me and my daughter were watching him outside jarrolds yesterday.
It's frothy, maan.....
hey hometown
Why did the council get rid of the old market, which was both indoors and outdoors? I used to love Great Yarmouth Market, when we used to go on holiday to Great Yarmouth. Everybody got too use to online shopping during both lockdowns, which has slowly killed loads of markets throughout the country.
Brilliant footage 🙌 I’ve lived here 45 years and can’t remember anything quite like this before.
Thanks..
Yes agree with Lisa, you certainly got great footage. Unbelievable how bad it is there. Is it still bad in Wroxham ?
@@markt2014 Yes still quite bad…
Has it gone down any yet ?
Maybe a little…
It’s shocking isn’t it, plus the roadworks to boot just up the road 😢
Yep and builders vans also parked on the highway causing more problems, not to mention the potholes that are appearing under the water, hit one yesterday, then you have that lousy bridge which was said to be a temporary bridge some 50+ years ago, for goodness sake this is an A road…
lovely place
That's no fish, probably a shopping trolly from Roys...
Go to nergiz try the shawarma
It's like they're trying to make it look like America... very corporate and devoid of feeling or heritage
It looks excellent. The old market was a sh.. hole. It was like a ramshackle, shanty town. The gluelam beams and zinc roof look excellent. It looks nice and clean inside as well.
Yes it looks good, but that’s where it stops, it has lost all its character and the atmosphere has gone…
@@nevillej9408Used to visit Yarmouth once a week but so few decent shops in the centre now. Is there still a Saturday market?
@@charlie01546Market days are Wed & Sat but theres not a lot there…
@@nevillej9408 Used to go to a pub called the Gallon Pot years ago. Brilliant pub with good value food, sadly I think that's gone now ☹️
