Panel Discussion on Suicidal Ideation - Signs, Treatment, and Survivors
The City would like to express our sincere thanks to Cincinnati Police Officer Don Scalf, 1N5 Founder Nancy Eigel-Miller, Montgomery resident and University of Kentucky Student Grant Darbyshire, Montgomery resident Dr. Tracy Cummings of the Lindner Center, and Will Jackson for their genuine and powerful conversation regarding suicide and suicide ideation. Their personal journeys and involvement in elevating suicide awareness touched everyone who attended the presentation.
A special thank you to the Church of the Saviour United Methodist for graciously opening its doors to host the event. Rev. Meshach Kanyion, Nermine Banke, Dorothy Stadelmann, and Peyton Voline were instrumental in bringing our vision of the evening to fruition. To all the COS volunteers who helped with parking, served as ushers, and helped with setup, we appreciate your efforts and love for your community.

Avoid AUTUMN BLAZE MAPLES at all costs unless you want tremendous damage to your property!!!! Exceptionally WEAK/FRAGILE TREE that splits with wind! Trust me, I have 8 on my property and EVERY one has had major wind damage!!! Plant October Glory instead. Much more hardy!
I have a dogwood "Super Princess" tree. I just noticed that some of the branches don't have leaves and the bare branches are turning white. The other leaves on the other half of the tree are healthy.
I was 11 ½ living in West End when it occurred.
👋 OM / MT / Shadowhill kids stand up! Rest in peace to everyone who lost their lives that day and those who lost their lives afterwards, none of you will ever be forgotten, ever.
The same day schlatt killed people
Please post more vintage events
P R O M O S M 😪
I love the Eastern Redbuds! Their flowers are so vibrant this time of year! I’ve grown a couple from seed and I can’t wait for mine to flower!
They are nice unless they are near your car, and they smell like piss in the spring.
One of my favorite trees.
i was 14 years old when this happened, i lived in the neighborhood where houses were destroyed and kids my age died; as a kid, i barely understood what happened and we never talked about it, but as an adult, it seems like something i should have received therapy for witnessing.
You have or should have a massive library of video from the 80's and 90's, I know because I am in some of it, please post more vintage video!
Theres a safety tip you forgot, GET OF THE ROAD BECAUSE YOUR A SAFTEY HAZZARD THAT DOESN'T PAY VEHICLE REGISTRATION !
can’t tell if your real or making jokes, I hope the latter.
That tornado passed over our house and it woke me up @ 4 am because of the pressure. I went outside and no birds, no noises, just a drone. I had no idea there was a tornado until it hit Montgomery and Blue Ash later in the morning.
Randy Little was an absolute BABE
No hablo ingles perl me interesa buscar una noticia de tornado en 1999 winsconsin oshkosh durante un camporee de conquistadores y que se dice ue se dividió en 2
I was only 9 when this happened, but lived on Marlette right across from CHCA. I remember hearing the tornado go near my house, sounded like a train
I was 4 years old and I was living in Colerain Township at the time and the tornado hit my apartment complex something fierce.
I was 12 when this happened and lived in Milford! I slept through the entire thing and remember school being canceled that day.
I was 10 in sixth at Milford main. I lived off Wards corner in Miamiville. Was about 2 miles or so from where it crossed over 275 Montgomery exit. Getting ready for the bus. Dad was always watching the news and drinking coffee. Watching it unfold until power was lost. We had debris that fell out of the sky around us. Small things. But I had mom run me to guitar center later that day for drum sticks because they had power and it was something to do. Saw the neighborhood where it hit across from sycamore hs. From that day forward I was absolutely obsessed and invested in anything tornados. Have been since. Now I’m out in highland county and it’s a crap shoot every time.

Grew up in Montgomery and would like to see more archival footage especially 80's/90's city events, SHS etc...
I lived on verbena at the time.
The two most common mistakes driver make are: A. failing to yield to both circulating lanes at a two-lane roundabout, and B. passing in the circular roadway of a 2-lane roundabout. The errors are a problem because where someone can exit depends on where they entered. Passing that inside vehicle may mean you are cutting them off from their exit. Passing that outside vehicle means you may be cutting them off from legal circulation.
Best roundabout PSA video I've seen to-date! It's being sent across TX and beyond to roundabout engineers. Well produced!
Thank you Jay!
i miss clyde
A great example of roundabout outreach. A fun and effective way to communicate the roundabout rules of the road.
Such a fun day watching the team work with the kids. Thank you Montgomery!
One Year, and One Day after the April 8, 1998 Oak Grove-Birmingham F-5 Tornado
I lived in west Chester and there’s a home video of me at 5 years old looking out the back window saying “there’s a tomato coming!! There’s a tomato coming!!” My boyfriends mom said he ran into her room saying a tornado was coming hahaha. We moved a couple years later to fairfield and the woods behind our neighborhood had a few weird looking trees. I asked the kids in nbhd what happened and they said that tornado went right through those woods a year before the houses were built!!
My parents church got destroyed so the wedding was rescheduled
I remember this; I was living in West Chester at the time. I was 8 years old at the time. I looked outside and the wind was roaring, at least it was 15 minutes away.
An hour ago, Canadians.
We lived near Winton Woods in Forest Park and got woken up by sideways rain hitting the house then all the sudden it stopped. Supposedly storm spiders saw the funnel cloud way up in the air going over Winton Woods Lake
at 6:40 I can see my house I was in when this thing hit
Blue ash? Must be a small town
No not at all. It’s a large business/residential district NE of downtown Cincinnati. Headed towards the suburbs. City/towns are goofy in Cincinnati
WOW... this is why we moved after we rebuilt the house!!
Whatever happened to Randy?
Ya u bet montgomery is an awesome place to live!!! Cuz I live there!!!
@luvmyctd Emergency does not necesarally mean emergency, it is a term used to get people off the roads
I guess it's all about perspective. My mother lives in Texas and a minor dusting will shut things down. Cities need to work with the resources that they have.
16 hours to clear 3 inchs? my town they send out the salt trucks n its done
Compared to Canada, I guess that would just be a dusting! Declaring a snow emergency means citizens are not allowed to park on the streets, which allows crews to clear roadways more effectively.
Snow plows drive with their beds up to ensure all the salt in the truck gets on the road.
