¿1914? ¡Son 110 años! Una maravilla
'The Night before Christmas '! Just heartwarming! 👍🖖
The Hermanas Boyd (Boyd Triplets) would later rebrand themselves as the Del Rubio Triplets and become very famous in the 1980s-1990s.

😂😂 I love this one! Very funny! Ah, I see, Cal Stewart was an American comedian and vaudeville performer noted especially for his comic monologue recordings. 🎉🎉Thanks a lot for that one! 👍
This one's very interesting. Julia Culp ('the Dutch nightingale') was described once as a 'connoisseur's singer', which made me curious. She never sang in opera, but apparently had extraordinary breath control, subtle colour and a care for the wording. She was widely known in the years 1901-1919 after being discovered and then taken to perform in various German and other European cities and also in America. She shared the stage with the most famous singers of that era Enrico Caruso, Victor Klemperer, Pablo Casals, and sang for Richard Strauss, Edvard Grieg and Camille Saint-Saëns! I'm awestruck! 😮👍👏🎉
I enjoy listening to this Singers voice. I appreciate your info.
James Fletcher Hamilton Henderson (1897-1952) was one of the most influential jazz music arrangers and bandleaders during the bigband and swing era . Billy Jones later teamed up with Ernie Hare and found fame in the 1920s thanks to the popular radio programme The Happiness Boys. 👍👏 A burlesque-like song and quite funny !😅🎉
He started out as a newspaper delivery boy! Luckily, he didn't stop there. 😅
Gene Autry? Wow! That's definitely one of my favourite songs ... round this time of year 😅👍🥳
A classic tune for the coming season
Yep for sure Greyman. I got some great old records in this batch of records can't wait to record them. Cool music from the Teens and 20's. and there should be some unique music from the later years also. Holliday Cheer to you Grayman!
Fun music very enjoyable listening to!
Ted Lewis aka 'Mr Entertainment' and Ted 'Is Everybody Happy?' Lewis😅 who also was an actor besides being a hit-producing band leader before and after the Second World War. 👍
Fascinating. It reminds me of those classic Noir radio dramas ... 👍
It does!
Thank you🎉
This is a very impressive trio! Roy Turk began by composing for 'the' Sophie Tucker, and his 'Mean to Me' has become a jazz standard. Add to that his 'Are You Lonesome Tonight', and you will have to admit that he is a legend. And what about Maceo Pinkard? Well, who of us hasn't listened to 'Sweet Georgia Brown'?! Peggy English whose real name was Marguerite Grace English from Montana USA has recorded under a great many different names, e.g. as Jane Gray for the Harmony and Velvet Tone labels in the 1920s. Apparently she stopped recording afterwards. What a pity for us music lovers! Great song!! 🎉🎉👍👏🥳
Thanks for all that info. I enjoyed listening to this record. Seemd to be quite a singer.
Antequet very valveable

Thank you for the comments.
Ha! The 'Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay Song'!! A mariachi favourite but also performed by Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo or Ertha Kitt 😅🎉👍
Круто! спасибо за работу ❤

Apparently Xavier Cugat was a Spanish-born musician who picked up his trade in Cuba where he trained as a violin player. He later performed as the leader of the Waldorf-Astoria orchestra in New York City. No wonder those Latin rhymes eventually became so popular in the US . Trivia: He appears in the film 'Wee-End at the Waldorf ', must've adored Chihuahuas, was a friend of Charlie Chaplin's, was a gifted caricaturist and was married five times.😅👍🎉
Wow cool Thank You for that info. All i knew from a friend that he was quite Popular back in the day.
😂😂! Thanks a million for that song! Hilariously funny!! 😂😂🎉👍
LOL yep its a good one.
After 'Smoke Gets in Your Eyes' another one from Otto Harbach one of the first eminent Broadway lyricists & librettists who held that music, lyrics and story should be of a piece. He was mentor to no less a musical great than Oscar Hammerstein II. 👍🎉👏
I been Listening to They Go Wild Simply Wild, Over Me by Eddie Cantor
I looked that up after i seen your comment I enjoyed listening to that it was very good!
@ Glad you liked it. Remember Retros Rule
@@Lycan_of_1941 No i don't know that one.
@@tonys78rpmrecords It’s a quote, a modo, a symbol of what I like. Being an Old Soul, a Retro.
I made that one up on my own for Retros Rule.
Awesome; I can hear reggae coming out of this calypso rythym and blues soul jazz. Big band by a small island band; excellent.
... and Ziegfeld (the producer of Show Boat) had a smash hit show on his hand! Jerome Kern (1885-1945) wrote more than 700 songs and was responsible for several other musical hits apart from Show Boat. By the way, 'Make Believe' and 'Ol' Man River' were also instant hits 🎯🎉😅👍👏!
Nice Music thanks for the info and adding your comments.
Carrousel, act II - Gosh, I love that musical ❤. So many amazing songs by Rogers and Hammerstein. There was a Broadway revival of Carousel in 2018! Fantastic! Thanks loads! 👍🥳👋
Glad you enjoyed and reached out to comment.
I Enjoy this Music, We are Both Old Souls.

Yo solo vine aquí por Teleclub Costa Rica 😅😅
Thanks for commenting i did not know what Teleclub is till after your comment i had to look it up. Very Cool. Glad you found my UA-cam channel hope you enjoy the video and music.
Let's Face It - by Dorothy and Herbert Fields (story) + music and lyrics by Cole Porter is apparently based on a play called 'The Cradle Snatchers' (1925) by R Medcraft and N Mitchell. Perhaps less accessible than those more widely known Cole Porter pieces, it's still very pleasant to listen to and a surprise treat to musical lovers. 👍
Glad you came and listened and enjoyed thanks for that info and commenting.
Maravilhas da era do vinil! Ainda há muito para se descobrir! 👏👏👏👏👏♥️
Such true words!!!!!!!
Really cool, and beautiful. Thank you. God bless you and keep you in Jesus name. 🌟🌲🎁
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing your comments.
I'm listening - isn't she wonderful? I've just found out that she came to fame with the big band of Tommy Dorsey (which she left in 1944) 🤔👍 One of my favourite female jazz singers. 🎉
Yes very good old music. Glad you enjoyed listening to my channel. Thanks for commenting.
😊 don't know this song, sounds a bit Scottish ? Most know her for ' Yu belong To Me' - (B4 my time but I'm familia with Th Duprees sophisticated 1962 cover)
Perfect diction as ever, amazing and captivating Jo Elizabeth Stafford. Who isn't overcome by that"Haunted Heart" feeling on hearing her voice😉👍
Sounds amazing on what I assume is an acoustic reproducer?
Yes it is thanks for the comments.
I enjoy listening to this song and the man's voice and the story part is pretty cool also.

This is the last record from the 130 records he had found and given me. My brother has more from his calection i will be back to recording soon. Thanks for commenting.
