I love Deanna Durbin and all her movies are a gem. They make me feel good every time I watch them. I was shocked when I found out she died in 2013. I discovered her years before in 2008 when I went to the library and I was looking for some good old movies to watch and the Deanna Durbin Sweetheart Pack DVD collection popped up in front of me so I took it from the shelf and read the back of it and I was like this looks interesting so I took it home and me and my mom watched it all six films included in it and we fell in love with all six movies included in it. My mom loved It Started With Eve and First Love and I love Can't Help Singing and Something In The Wind. As time I watched her other films and I became a huge fan of her

Absolutely Beautiful .her voice was so clear and profectionised to the ear.songs of that time were beautiful and young singers like Deanna were so elegant and when singing they sang with meaning and grace.pity its not like that anymore.but singers like her and others of that time are not forgotten.Rest in Peace Deanna.Godbless you.Amen.🕊🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🌹🌷🌹🌷

Callas was a great fan of Deanna and it is said that decided to take up opera singing as a result of seeing her films. I do not know what Callas sounded like at the age of 14/15 but she would not have had the same voice as the one she possessed as an adult. Joan Sutherland was also a great fan of Deanna. Durbin was the first of a whole line of young sopranos in Hollwood and all the others looked up to her. She possessed perfect pitch even as a child.
This is a great actress, God rest her!!

Deanna is delightful and her voice wonderful. I have not seen the film but I understand from the excerpts that this young girl is passed off as a slight excited idiot to show an immense talent, as often in the movies and it is regrettable
