Beside the fact that the transition is not 100% smooth(like half way into the transition), it looks great! I assume it works with meshes with different vertex count?

Hello. have a nice day :) I put 2 materials associated with 2 shader graph assets. each of them has alpha clipping enabled and I animate this alpha based on a position node set to object space. I have a float variable called level. if position is above level it is one else it is zero and this is connected to the apha node of the fragment shader graph node. one shader of them has a one minus extra node to animate in the opposite direction. I use a c# script with a ping pong method to animate the level float. you can use a time node with sine remaped between 0 and 1 also as it has the same effect.
