It started sprinkling around sunset and this giant rainbow came out. It was trying to make a double rainbow but the sun went down too soon.

If we can keep the goats from destroying the round bales it will save us money. But if they are able to poop and pee on the hay it will be waisted.

Good looking snake!
We ran into this problem recently, and came across this video which is a solid solution to the problem. We are in the midst of a deep freeze with a lot of crusty ice on the ground, so we decided to try a temporary fix until we can take the tank out and not lose parts in the snow! Tractor Supply and other farm stores sell ferromagnets for cows and other ruminent cattle that are about 3/4 of an inch in diameter and very strong. We tied one to a length of string and lowered it down in the fill spout and let it rattle around a bit. Pulled it out with a lot of the rust flakes, cleaned it and put it back in for the short term. That should keep the chunks from clogging the fuel supply and the filter should get the rest. We have been able to use the tractor now with no problems. Wanted to pass along a fix that might help people get the tractor running long enough to get back to a barn/garage for a permanent fix.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2024 B2301 and was having sputtering issues as well. I blew out the fuel line with compressed air but feel I will have to do the same and see if this sending unit is my root cause issue. What year is your Kubota?

@@LittleCBR ,, I saw it at a hardware store where I live . I waited a year and they still had it. I was able to get a big discount. The problem is that if you don’t buy one from a stove company no one will install it for you. I had to figure it out.

My neighbor built one just like yours, only mounted up six feet on a steel pipe out in the clear, to keep the squirrels out. One day I see THREE SQUIRRELS feasting. ??? After a few days, I saw how they got up there. A phone wire about three feet to the side and four feet above the feeder, and the squirrels leap for a fancy lunch.

Was the fuel gauge working at all? I'm tempted to just pull the sending unit out first and have a look. (Different machine L47 but still kubota) I really think I may have the same issue because this machine has about the same amount hours 500ish and it's a 2016. So in my mind that means it was sitting for long periods before I bought it. Plus on top of that the guy I bought it from lives in an area that gets a lot of rain. The thing is the fuel gauge is working just fine? Not excited about this at all as I have a full tank of fuel. Anyway thanks for doing a video on this.

@@Barrett-tq7pq ,,,, it was nasty
I have a TC29... had the same problem. It seemed to have run out of fuel, but had actually quit running due to fuel starvation. My fuel filter had nasty black goo all over it, and the bowl was all full of it, too. After taking the filter out, there was zero gravity flow fuel coming into the filter assembly. The fuel line from the tank to the filter was totally plugged. I disconnected the fuel line at the filter assembly and used a big plastic syringe to apply suction to the fuel line. It sucked out a huge clot of the same black goo, followed by clear fuel. After cleaning the bowl and reassembling it with a new filter, I bled the system and it started right up. I'll be paying more attention to keeping the tank full, and replacing the filter on a regular basis. The first time through this process took me about 4 hours, including coming up with the idea of the syringe, and a trip to the hardware store. The next time I have to do it, it will take me about 20 minutes.
@@SkipTreadwell ,,,, it’s real nice when we can figure these things out and not have to pay a mechanic to fix it. I’m glad you got it .

That reservoir is also the filter for the steering system and should be changed. Just changed mine and a week later blew one of the hoses. Word of warning, filter is only available from the dealer and its expensive. Kind of figured that's what was involved to replace the hoses but nice to see it done. Thanks for the video.
I glad if it helped
I've got the same problem. Now that I see the sending unit it makes perfect sense why this is happening again to my tractor. Ill take the dash off and try to get the sending unit out without taking the tank out. Once out I'll vacuum the sludge out then replace the sending unit with a stainless steel version. Your video was super helpful and helped me diagnose my problem.
@@lhoward1563 ,,, I’m glad it helped,
Greetings from Arkansas. I had exactly the same problem with my 2014 L3301 hydrostatic transmission. It first happened in 2019 or 2020. Once we realized we had some debris in the tank I wanted to just remove the tank for cleaning but that looked like too big of a problem. Siphoned the diesel out then taped a clear hose onto a shop vac and did my best to clean it out. Today, 9-27-24 it happened again. So frustrating, because I have been so careful to keep it clean. I wonder if there is some manufacturing issue that allows this to keep happening? Now I'm going to have to do the same cleaning project again. Not looking forward to that. Oh, noticed you were using farm (dyed) diesel. That is against manufacture recommendations in my year model 2014. Only use road diesel. Thanks for your video.
