Smaller and cheaper HiFi products from SMSL, Topping are great options for audiophiles. They'll definitely improve their products further as they grow. Big, ugly and expensive HiFi products from traditional brands have to catch-up with time.

Very well explained video. I paired the R3 and the B&W 704 S2 with Denon PMA-A110. I'd also heard the R3 with Cambridge Audio Evo 150. I have the same conclusion as you regarding the sound characteristic. The soundstage of R3 is deeper while the 704 is wider. To get more sparkle in the high frequency, the Evo is much better than the Denon, which is more neutral.
