I really like the legacy roadrocket I have, it's a pretty solid figure and probably a better fit for the mold than Prime Arcee. Also, its funny at 0:28 that you talking about one of the more successful experiments of G2 is immediately followed by the that literally obliterates itself.

I like the design of the 2nd movie overall.The whole point of the mirror mask and not having an origin is so that anyone can be Cobra Commander thus when you look at it you see yourself. Also in the 1st movie how do you mess up Snake Eyes? He's a ninja, why did they do that weird thing with his mask where the lips were casted?

I think a fourth category of background guys would be the various troopers we see do stuff but we don’t see their faces or they are in an identical army of look alikes. For example the stormtrooper who hits his head, the guy who yells traitor in iiv, that clone who punched a droid, that droid who got locked in a cell while cleaning.

The last video was so good. I had to watch another one. The G2 figure line was a strange time. It was the age I stopped collecting. Yet I don't remember any commercials for it. Great on referencing the pop culture changes at the time. Playmates TMNT line was a game changer. The detail alone is what got me hooked on them.

You always do a great job editing on the channel. Especially on this episode. This was the first time I've seen the figures for the live action movies. I agree with you on the first version. The second movie figure. Has a Snake Eyes/B.A.T. version vibe to it. The skybound version of the two franchises. Has had a grown up approach to the storyline.

As far as this video goes, unfortunetly, I mostly dissagree with your takes in this video. But as I wrote, "mostly", since with cases like this 11:28 14:32, I couldn't agree more. As for the my takes, I agree the second movie desighn is better than that of the first movie. I like the original movie more than it's sequeal. As for this suit 9:20, at least to me this helmet wise look's a bit better imo than either of the movie desighns. I can understand the problem of "making details for sake of details" but here, I think it works really well. All tho I can agree with removing the cobra from it. The helmet it self is a snake head, it doesn't need the "second microhead" case of Cyberverse Shockwave. That and if Hasbro had to give him Serpentor's Weaponised stuff, they at least could mold it in black.

G2's failure, and G1's death for that matter, isn't quite so black and white. Just a few points for context; - G1 actually survived past a natural life. Most toylines fail and those that succeed peak in Y2, decline and usually die with Y3. The 3 year lifespan is / was known within the industry at the time as an expectation if you succeeded. While we have a fair few lines that went past 3 years, there are a ton that barely did 1 assortment. - Transformers was known to be a hit internally right at the tail end of development, before the show aired. This was when they moved to produce Transformers original toys instead of repurposed toys and, at the time, upcoming concepts for toys. 87-90 even happening was an oddity, not the rule. G1 was likely intended to be a flash in the pan, make as much money as possible and run situation when in development. - G1 died out due to a combination of following trends rather than setting them, action features not resonating and most importantly, the competition. TMNT takes the world by storm in 1988 and keeps it through 1991, when Turtlemania dies down, though it doesn't die till the mid 90s. Notice 3 years again. - Euro G1 knew the toys still had legs, but had to go back to basics and incorporate better action features. This leads us to the 1991 toys and eventually G2, which are way more like Euro G1 in design philosophy rather than 86-90 G1. - G2 had similar issues where it launched opposite MMPR and Rangermania was a big deal. G2 does live from 93-95, the again, the normal 3 years, but so does MMPR in its prime before fading into zombie status. G2 likely more underperformed greatly than truly failed. Also keep in mind Biker Mice from Mars did decently well for itself from late 93 to early 96, bit over 3 years.

So, in other words, as far as IP history goes, this Screamer is a literal "middle child" of G2. Neither new or vintige enought, just stuck in the middle. But non the less, for how simple the details and colors for this guy are, I have no problem saying I kinda like G2 colors more than the original. To me, they fit the "decepticon color palette" better.

5:50 this is just me looking for meaning where there is non, but I think that him been "unremarable" yet suppousedly so arrogant , kinda fits and could be used for an interesting character. Less of a Tony Stark who's arrogant cause he's the best at what he does, and more of Squidward, who's bitter towards others for not recognising his "suppoused" higher intelligence and talent. At least that's how I see it. 5:39 Also, that isn't exacly true . Armada Makeshift and 2007 Movie Incinerator say hi with their rotor-blade hands. Plus the big Tyrant him self, since Megs had a chance to be an Osprey twice in Animated and Earthspark. So yea, rare, BUT not as rare as Monster Trucks or Watercrafts. Besides that, I agree with Highbrow been the least remembered HM. Not every one is a a-lister, but I wouldn't mind seeing more helikopter toys either.

6:41 Again disagree. Those two moments (taking down Airrachnid and his ONE speaking line), well, I’m confident saying those are probably the two MOST memorable scenes in the whole damn show. Go and pull up the view counts of those scenes. It’s the classic “Less is more” technique (like Spielberg showing less of the (broken) mechanical shark in Jaws to let the audience’s mind go wild). For example, the episode in Season 1, when Starscream amd Spoundwave have found Skyquake: they’re standing on the butte and Soundwave detects Megatron’s Spark in space. Starscream is such a hilarious blabbermouth in TFP that he starts mouthing off and tells him to ignore the fact that he detected Megatron is alive. But then he realizes he may have gone too far, and he KNOWS IT. He knows Soundwave recorded it. And Soundwave is just STARING at him. SILENTLY. And the tension for the viewer is BUILDING and Starscream starts to backtrack on his previous statements, and stutter and his nervous ticks kick in as he backs away and flys off. And the last scene we see as Starscream flys off in Soundwave as he plays back Starscream’s recorded words (“lMust bear witness”), and the viewer is just GIGGLING WITH DELIGHT inside because you just know this isn’t over and that it’s gonna come back to haunt Starscream somehow, you can’t wait to see how it’s going to end. 4:21 Disagree. If anything, the designer was prescient: look at how much Drones have radically altered the tactical landscape in the Ukraine/Russian war in the last 3 years. Drones are constantly spying on and spotting troops. Decimating tanks, airfields, grounded planes, supply depots and troop encampments. It was a drone that took out the Russian ship in the Black Sea. It was a drone attack that hit Moscow. Conventional Warfare will never be the same. The US has been-not so secretly-testing a drone submarine (the “Manta Ray”) off the coast of California. EDIT: @7:15 That’s called “tension,” not “dead air,” and it’s important (when used well) for a good narrative. And it’s used well several times with Soundwave’s character throughout the series.
