"Hello, friends of TUFR! My name is Jake Miller, age 30 (Songwriter/Musician) from Corcoran, MN. I'm thrilled to present 3 original tunes to contribute to TUFR's mission!
Since the tender age of five, music has always been at my core, always available to me, no matter the circumstances. First, captivated by blues greats like Freddie King and SRV, I learned the art of shaping a guitar solo and sharing my progress to an audience.
Into my early adulthood, I continued on this path, in pursuit of a music career shaped by the influences of my youth. I moved to Nashville, TN at the age of 19 where I continued to develop my voice and learn the fundamentals of songwriting.
Like others, while not having realized a career, I continue to depend on music's guidance in my daily life.
I recorded a live EP titled "Ain't Got Wings" in 2019 with my trio group in Duluth, MN. If so inclined, check out the tunes in the Spotify link below!
I continue to perform live when the opportunities present. Recently, I also started a UA-cam page dedicated to sharing solo acoustic performances of originals and select covers. You'll find the link below!

ABOUT TURN UP FOR RECOVERY
Turn up for Recovery is a charitable movement aiming to raise awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackle the stigma of addiction and help make treatment affordable to people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. The idea for Turn up for Recovery (TUFR) came to founder, Melia Clapton, she wanted to tackle the stigma around addiction and alcoholism and raise awareness about the power of abstinence based recovery. It’s a topic very close to her heart, having supported family members throughout their recovery. Her vision is for an inclusive community of artists, music lovers and those affected by addiction coming together to have a good time, talk about recovery and raise money for others to get the help that they need at Crossroads Centre Antigua. Melia announced the movement in September 2019 during Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. It has been gaining momentum ever since.
