How the Gulf Stream Fueled an Age of Discovery
Ocean currents have played an immeasurable role in the lives of humans since well before people mustered the courage to take to the high seas. Here is one part of our relationship with Earth's natural super-highways, how the Gulf Stream fueled an age of discovery.

At the time ‘Indies’ meant all lands east of the middle east not associated with china. He uses phrases like “these indies” which indicates that he was aware that it was not a part of india or any known land

How can a president could have so many relations to other women as commander in chief??? Use your brains people. The U.S. presidents doesnt have time to hooked up with so many women. Maybe before or after they become president. I found out JFK got a lot of haters back then. The media is now trashing his image when he is no longer here to defend himself and tell his side of the story. People claiming he unalive Maryn Monroe when there is no solid evidence. The media is smearing his name all because dumb metoo movement era. That movement really ruin a lot of people's lives and reputation. People are getting canvel left and right for things turn out to be false.
I read too that she was asked to give Kennedy head right there in the pool ....and after that Kennedy asked her to do it to a couple of his his buddies in the pool

We do not know what happened before the big bang, but we do know that the big bang 100% happened as we can literally see it when we look back in time through space.

They didnt discover America, there were civilizations there before they came. The term you want to us is colonise.
youre a buffon I swear, when did Phoenicians ever colonize anyone you bozoooooo
I think it's almost absurd to believe that the Phoenicians DIDN'T reach America. Exploring by sea is precisely what they did. We have accounts of them circling Africa and rounding the cape. Crossing the Atlantic would be a piece of cake in comparison, something you can actually do on accident. They were not at all like other Bronze Age sailors, afraid to sail out of sight of land. Phoenicians were bold navigators. They also told every kind of lie to the other Mediterranean peoples, convincing them that sea monsters, mud flats, and scorching sunlight would all kill them if they went past the Pillars of Hercules. They were also pathologically secretive about all of their discoveries. Rumor has it that they would debrief a returning sea captain who had discovered something new, write down everything he had said, get him to draw a map - and then quietly "disappear" him so that no one else could ever get his information. They had a written language (indeed, the Greek's credit them with inventing the alphabet) but very little of their writings have survived. It's silly to think that because we know very little of them, they must have done very little.
Source? 😂

I need to understand what you meant by skin covered boats
Yes, they sailed in a boat known as the Curragh (also spelled currach). This boat has a wooden frame, over which animal skins or hides were traditionally stretched. US Navy veteran and Historian Samuel Eliot Morison likened it to a big wicker basket covered with skins
From the Azores maybe?
My guess is some people who were located near and accidentally sucked into the Gulf Stream current. If the Azores were populated at the time, perhaps!
Very well could have had contact and just classified them wrong. 🤷♂️
Just one of those question marks of history 😅
I like your shirt bro🤙🏻
Thank you!!😄
yeah thats pretty cool :o
Nice lil fun fact of the day haha
You speak like an ignorant child
Christopher Columbus was a savage idiot who didn't discover anything, but got very lost and exploited/murdered most of an indigenous population in South America from his evil escapades. He is no one to admire.
He was aware he discovered a new land. The island discovery you're talking about was when he discovered some actual islands off the east coast, he certainly understood the vastness of the land he had found subsequently. But it is true that he thought they were in some way connected to Asia or "the Indies", thus, "Indians"
Jerry Grover has the answer to the Olmec Monument.
That is absolutely true we in Ireland was told down through generations brendan found usa ..... of course nobody believes they irish we never colonised so not taken seriously in Europe
Oh I have a feeling northern, near-arctic voyages to America are less understood than they ought to be
More recent book tells different story
The Camelot myth that Jackie concocted after JFK's assassination was a complete lie: this woman has to "own" her mistake, AND JFK was beyond disrespectful in doing "the deed" in Jackie's bedroom in the WH. Nick, please don't be overly impressed by the so-called allure of this president or any other celebrity for that matter. I walked away from Hollywood because I know myself and, in the late 1990's, early 2000's, the "couch culture" was alive and well there, and I wasn't about to throw away my marriage and family for "fame and fortune" in a disintegrating, immoral city like LA, though I was hanging out with top celebs and had every opportunity to cash in on the burgeoning reality TV landscape. As a fellow Catholic, I can only hope that JFK went to Confession before that horrible day in November of '63. God speed ~

Nick, use Google Earth Maps, look at Poll na bPeist, "I" pool on inis mòr, Aran Islands, Galway, Ireland. Could it be thev1° meridian associated, with the Isles of the Blessed. In Semitic Gaelic, the word Blessed is translated, as " Beannaithe" - people have yet, to break down that Gaelic & Scottish Gaelic word into "Bean- na- ithe" = Lady of the Feathers. If you look closely, at the cliff face, above the " I" pool ( 1° meridian), you may see that Feather Lady/ LadyBird, carved into the Limestone, the nose of her cliff face, is her watery pool. As Marlowe said, " A face that launched a thousand ships". Worth a few minutes of your time - the ancient secret - 53 ° North 1 ° centre ( Greenwich/ Modern system, 53° North and 9° 45` West). Exposed rock on cliff are like her feather braid.🐞
Surprised none of Hanno’s men were crushed under the might of the gorillas🦍. Had they been dealing with a troop of chimps, I don’t think they would’ve been as lucky.
Just the fact they pulled up on the gorillas and thought, “let’s catch them” 😅 but I agree, a troop of angry chimps sounds even more terrifying..
My people are revolting! (But you, I like.)
Gotta show the compliant ones some love😂👌🏼
I can never understand why JFK did not seek medical advice to help him with his uncontrollable sexual desire. Also, I find it hard to understand how Jackie kept her eyes tightly closed. They were both flawed.
Love these. Keep them coming please
Anything for you😏
Father never makes a mistake, he is perfect in all his ways. He 100% purposed it to be legless. It's like Jesus tell the people about a bird that dies in the forest and falls off a tree, to us it is meaningless and has no point or purpose. But to father, he had a specific purpose meaning to why that specific bird died. It's like our lives, the most meaningless thing to happen has a greater purpose in it than we know. Nothing happens by chance and everything that happens has been purposed by father for good.
😮
Neat 😊
Right!

Thank you Jeff!! I’m wondering if I can use the “captions” as something more akin to chapters, rather than word for word captions. It’s just a matter of saving time between uploads right now. I apologize if it’s distracting and will alter should more similar critiques be shared! Appreciate the feedback🙏🏼
