    I can not find dmc water soluble sheet do you have any other company's name who sell similar product? I got embroidery stabilizer but the dots are way too smaller and together.

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch Місяць тому

      Google "water soluble cross stitch canvas," and it'll show what's available in your area. There's also "waste cross stitch canvas," made with water-soluble glue, and after you dissolve the glue, you can pull out the canvas threads. I'm not sure what you mean by smaller dots, but you probably need to look for a lower-count canvas. On the video is 14 count (14ct) - it means 14 holes per inch.

    I wish I knew that earlier bc I would park my thread where I left off and that would often be the same place as where I would be stitching so it would get in the way and be sooo annoying I don't embroider anymore tho😭😭

    How do you split a single thread

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch 3 місяці тому

      you don’t split single mouline cotton thread. It consists out of 6 strands. Each of this six can‘t be split further and used

  • @ehhbepbepbep
    @ehhbepbepbep 3 місяці тому

    Why do you prefer the blunt needles?

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch 3 місяці тому

      They don’t catch threads with their points. But if embroidery gets very detailed- sharp points are better

    • @Faimyxstitch

    @p3t4l 3 місяці тому

    Ooh front and back look amazing! I think it would take me at least 4x longer because i would have to keep counting every stitch or be paranoid that I counted wrong

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch 3 місяці тому

      There’s also a step number - amount of threads to cross to make the next stitch. In this case you go 2 steps up and it helps with count. Instead of counting the length of stitch for the whole row, you just count that it’s 2 steps higher/lower/the same as the nearby stitch

    It's better if you push it down by the point instead of the eye

  • @Stitchycatlady
    @Stitchycatlady 3 місяці тому

    I do this all the time, but I feel it’s better using the point end rather than the eye because it’s narrower.

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch 3 місяці тому

      Interesting thought! The eye is more flat, the needle eye is narrower. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try both and see what feels better

    What did you apply after painting with watercolour pencil on the last one?

    • @Faimyxstitch
      @Faimyxstitch 3 місяці тому

      It’s fabric medium by Liquitex. Unless you’re using specific watercolor for fabric - it’ll fade after washing. The fabric medium makes sure it doesn’t happen

    My grand had hoops that had a notch through the tightening screw like an actual screw. She bought them 10 at a time (different sizes) she bought me some one summer that I stayed with them and I love them still. Sturdy and reliable. When she passed I was sent all of her embroidery things. Her hoops are still good! 💕💕💕
