In
The deer around me come up from the creek across a field and then go into an orchard and go up the hill in a golden tod feild into the forest.
Thanks
I started using cell camera this year and man it has sure been a game changer for me. I've Learned so much more about deer movement and how it coincides with the weather and many other factors.
Even with my own “🌿Ranch🍀” now , I still only Hunt with my Deer Camp Club for the Opener in NY . Haven’t missed it since 1996 👍🏼. Gotta love the Traditions #NYHunting
Need help setting up a pinch point
Very informative ... thanks! ... especially fencing ... what kind of fencing?
Never mind! ... Sam answered my question ... welded wire ...
Glad you enjoyed!
I know what it means were 1 step closer to flus being fired.
I'd rather sit outside her bedroom not in a funnel somewhere
Great video 😊
Glad you enjoyed!
Cool video. Thanks for the tips. 👍
You should get Mitch Rompola on the show
You’re on the edge of the woods overlooking a field that’s where you wanna be. They’re not in the woods. Don’t waste your time. Best regards
I’m stoked to check this out!
After Rut I go back to food sources , shit ton of acorns this year Bumper beyond Bumper
Next to bedding or fresh feed sign?
Sure would love to see pictures of the buck and the ladder stand while we watch
What’s crazy about my property is I have around 12 different bucks and only couple Doe’s. I can’t wait to have Tim Kaiser come to my property this spring to dial this in!
New Huntworth jacket, after many yrs( 25) my asat coat is retired Barren pattern? Lot of grey - white in it, Lastweek had a doe stand at 18 yrds staring at me for 5 minutes, not moving She walked away, the 9 pointer was 72 yrds back, I’d say it passed the test👍🏻
Tough to find the full video.
Great work explaining the features in detail. Appreciate it!
I thought your presentation was pretty easy to listen to. Explained clearly and good graphics to back it up.
Another " u tuber" know it all blah blah same thing I've heard a million times nothing knew here
Rain dilutes a scrape.
Anyone use estrous urine by their stand during the rut?? Pro or con?
Ive used it and i will say i usually get a decent buck to come check it out within the next 48 hours. I've had way more success with making mock scrapes and peeing in it myself though
Only little bucks have came in for me ....I started making my own mock scrapes ...and I learned a lot about using pinch points...and were deer like to travel from point A to point B .....wether it's for food water or checking scrapes .... Good luck..
Great information
Thanks for the video. Very thorough!
Things are heating up here as well in Kentucky.
I been using weather underground and watch it religiously. I also tag and save all my deer photos in a gallery on the Tactacam app so I can look closely at the statistics. I agree with everything you said except I do notice deer activity is better between 30 - 30.25 year after year. Next best is 30.25 - 30 5 We waited to hunt our property all year and dove in for the 1st sit on the 24th. Wife took our #2 bick and was close to getting the #1 on the same sit about 300 yards from each other. All this happened at the exact same time too! Good luck and great video.
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing that. Saving trail camera photos and studying the 'why' behind what might be getting these bucks to move will help each of us figure out which days are the better ones to hunt. I'll be keeping an eye on 30 - 30.25 !
@whitetailevolution thanks! I would say from my data that the deer movement is 30-50% more compared to any other pressure range. Sweet spot is 30.1
What weather app is that. I can't remember the name
Weather Underground. But it's the website (desktop version) not the app. It's better to use a computer to look at this one. More options.
Scent does not wash away that readily with rain. You still need to ensure you're wearing scent-free rubber boots and not brushing up against vegetation. I'd rather rely on rain for masking noise and any scent that is diluted with rain is just a bonus.
Thanks Jake, for the info/reminder of how things can affect deer movement.
Your welcome. Good luck out there!
Grow up!
Great piece. We acquired 40 acres last year. First thing we did--which was sort of instinctual--was to have a couple USDA foresters walk the property with us to provide an initial assessment of biodiversity. They suggested a stewardship plan and talking with a DNR forester, which we did. He suggested folks to help us write a stewardship plan and introduced us to various incentive programs. Bottom line: we now have a DNR-approved plan and are putting the land into a long-term covenant.
This is one of the best videos I have ever watched! So easy to understand. World love to see more in depth videos! Thanks!
good content! I had the same reaction when I hired a dog tracker to find a Vermont moose and the guy had a dachshund. The pictures of my bull with that little dog growling at it are hilarious. Congrats on a nice NY buck. I live in NYs Adirondacks and nice bucks are hard to find
Need more people like him owning large tracts. Seems like a good neighbor to have and great steward of land!
Such a beautiful state
Are water holes in the woods good places to search?
Concentrate on scrapes with a licking branch above. They will be back to rub the eye glands on it. No branch above could just be a buck being a buck and waste a camera/ hunt day.
on the topic of inside corners how would u recommend getting to that location? behind would be a river and in front is a field that they are in and out off all night and morning?
What podcast is this and who is the guest ?
What if you only hunt in big timber public land, miles and miles of it no agriculture around
Look for 3 year old clear cuts and transition areas where the terrain changes and look for trails and deer sign , scrapes , rubs . Then set up down wind off those trails . That what I do, I hunt 58,000 acres of dense forest all state land .
I really learned alot from your Great Video . Thank You.
Does this work for ground hunting as well?
Jake Sawyer?
Please get to the point
Thanks for the informative video. Going to try and get out hunting in this cold front this week. good luck this year.
This is regurgitated UA-cam info not a guy with experience. Just another millennial with little time in the woods trying to cash in on UA-cam
Jake and everyone else on our team has years of experience hunting and managing whitetail properties. The purpose of our content is to help people become better hunters and improve their land.
@@whitetailpartners4624 the purpose of your content is purely narcissistic and greed . Years😂🤣😂🤣 of experience more like years of watching UA-cam. Start giving advice after 20 -30 years of consistently killen. Then maybe you’ll have something worth watching
@@matthewlawrence7080I look forward to your channel as you share all your experience…
@@steveshideler1333 I have no desire to start a channel nor will I ever. What UA-cam has done to hunting is absolutely ridiculous. In my 30+ years of bow hunting never have I seen the woods more of a shit show. Everyone says don’t believe what you see on the internet but stick some hipster in front of a bunch of mounts then he pays extra to saddle hunt with a guide service sit a public land buck label on it and dipshits eat it up like it’s gospel
@ you sound angry. Maybe you need a walk in the woods or a hug?
How much is a consultation?
That will vary depending on property size and location. If you head over to www.whitetailpartners.com/contact-whitetail-partners you can fill out the contact form and our regional consultant will reach out to provide more information.
What would be the opinion if your property seems to have a decent buck to doe ratio but your neighbors across the road has way too many deer and way too many does
