200 Years of History to Explore in Tillsonburg, Ontario
We're in Tillsonburg, Ontario starting off our video at the Annandale National Historic Site, home to E.D. Tillson & family, the first mayor of Tillsonburg. We take you on a tour of this southwestern Ontario town located south of Highway 401 in Oxford County.
We're visiting Tillsonburg Ontario, our first tour of 2025. We start of at the Annandale House, a Canadian National Historic Site, which was the estate home of Edwin Delevan Tillson, the town's first Mayor when incorporated in 1872. Tillsonburg dates back to it's original settling by George Tillson in 1825, meaning the town is celebrating it's 200th anniversary this year.
After exploring the Annandale National Historic Site, we hit the streets of Tillsonburg to see what's made this town grow 17% from 2016 and why people love living here. We explore some of the downtown, buildings and houses, and discuss the demographics of this growing town.

I'm told I'm a descendant of the Donnellys. I'm reading The Donnelly Album now and researching more. I just know the lineage is from my maternal grandmother.
Posted in the nick of time. My interest in this home was sparked this morning
Glad to hear it! Well worth the visit if you’re in the area.
Thanks for another informative video!
Thanks for checking this one out! We’re hoping to film a few this month weather permitting.
Love the older houses 😍
So do we! Aylmer has some truly stunning homes.
I enjoyed seeing Lucan and chuckled at the 120 centimeters of snow was "too much". Isn't St Thomas in the snowbelt of Southwestern Ontario? lol
It is, but we've been lucky the past few years and avoided a lot of the snow that's come through southwestern Ontario. Even this past month, London got hit much harder than we did and we're only 20 minutes south of them.
Loved this video! Thanks!
Thanks for checking it out! We're planning to do as many as we can with the nicer weather we've been having.
Very interesting video
Glad you think so!
