Everything is fine if you have a bunch of money and a truck to haul it all
I don't always bring everything with me. I do have a 4x6 trailer that I could bring it all but that tends to be overkill. This is just a review of my gear. Thanks for watching.
I wish I was made of money. Everything I have, I’ve pieced together one by one over the years. It’s a great incentive to take care of your gear.
Well, YEAH…. Duh!
Great review. I especially like the wood stove. Nice touch.
@@420Chief Thanks brother... We need to go into the wilderness soon!

@@irvsstella funny you say that… it’s being delivered tomorrow.
Thanks
I agree with most of the things you say. It is not for backpacking for sure. After using it a few times takedown gets easier. I got mine on clearance at walmart for $35. It is very good it withstood several rains and stayed dry inside. The main con i have is like you said ...no airflow when its warm out. I had a queen size airbed and still had room to keep lantern and shoes to the side in the leftover space. I used a battery powered fan/light and was able to stay fairly cool to sleep.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the input. No doubt it will help someone make an informed decision.
I think you're missing the point of a stove tent, the stove is to warm up the tent, cook food and dry kit. You're still supposed to take a decent sleeping system to stay warm at night, so you're not up and down all night. You need to ventilate by opening a door or the vents. Don't burn wood like pines, go for hard woods, oak beech etc. Enjoy the trip, don't just muddle through. Great video, honest review. 👍
Believe me, I already have it... but, I'm kinda stubborn if you haven't been able to tell yet.
You should have used it in the tent. Of course it's not going to cool the outside! It's made for a small area. If you don't use it correctly then your review worthless. I use the big portable ACs every summer. They won't work outside either because the areas too big. My review for this review: 0 stars out of 5.
had you paid attention to the video, you would have realized that I did use it in the tent and the results were less than satisfactory. Of course it's not going to work in an open environment. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to cry in the corner in the fetal position because you gave me 0 out of 5 stars. Thanks for watching.
It's a compromise with these things, like with mulitools. I have a surplus Austrian army folding shovel, will not break and will do a better job than the Gerber but I'm not backpacking that thing unless I have no other choice. The Gerber is a compromise between toughness, weight and size. I use mine but TBH I preferred my Cold Steel Spetznaz shovel that went missing, it wasn't any heavier than the Gerber, no moving parts to break and it did a better job.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.😃
Great review
Thank you and thanks for watching
Is this compatible with a rinsekit?
I don't believe that it is. With that being said, I'm not very familiar with the rinsekit but it looks self contained.
What amount of wattage does your battery pack provide to this water heater? I have one that provides 300 watts with booster up to 600 or I have one that provides 400 watts. Will these be sufficient? Thanks
My battery pack is 300Wh and it works perfectly. Your packs will be more than sufficient. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much!
I always have a hard time folding up that kind of mechanism in everything I’ve had and end up messing the wire’s memory so it ends up being useless, trust me you were a lot more graceful than I would’ve been. I got the other one from Decathlon with the “umbrella” mechanism and I think is pretty good but I haven’t taken it on the field yet, the jury is out about wind and rain resistance. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the kind comments. It definitely kicks my ass every time I use it, mainly because I don't use it often. Let me know how your test run goes.
@@OAWD until late spring. Too cold right now, night temps in the low 30s and beyond.
Just ordered the shower from Amazon with a 25% discount on Prime days. Thanks for the honest feedback.
Thanks man.. That's awesome that you bought it..I can't wait to hear what you think.
I bought this unit 2 weeks ago and i agree, it is AMAZING! My needs differ greatly from yours (you use it for camping, I because i am homeless and basically live out of my car) nonetheless, what a great product that definitely makes life easier!!! Thanks for sharing your experience and for the rest of ya's thanks for conmenting and idea sharing. Will definitely be using this product for some time to come. *cheers*
Thanks for watching. I do love this little water heater. I'm curious as to how you use it. Do you have a shower tent or some kind of tarp to keep you decent while you shower?
Do you use it outdoor
I use it exclusively outdoors.
thank you for doing this review. did you have a spark arrestor a top the stack or open pipe?? and would you recommend some kind of motor cycle xhaust wrap for the stack for inside the tent??
I do have a spark arrestor now but I don't like the one I have. I would definitely recommend a sleeve. They make them specifically for stove pipes. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. Does your unit leak at all from the bottom of the unit?
Hi Albert, thanks for watching. I've had no problems with any leakage from the bottom. However, I have noticed that you do need to tilt and drain it after use before storing it back in its case. Hope this helps.
Thank you! Guess ill have to try picking up another one that hopefully doesnt have that issue
Down & Dirty shower review. Thanks for showing the product and nothing else!
I would love ta see yer opinion on the brand new Onetigris Cozshack.... just came out by the way....
If Onetigris were to send me one, I’d be more than happy to do a review. I just bought the 13’ Whiteduck canvas tent and man, I really like it.
@@OAWD didja do a review on it?I thought I had my bell on....
@@ahilbilyredneksopinion Not yet. I plan on going out next week and getting one done.
Is there any way to bypass the heat option to just use as a water pump? or if the propane runs out - will that just make it pump regular temperature water?
I just don't connect to propane. The pump still works. Works great in the heat of the summer.
@@OAWD Awesome! And you don’t think it will hurt the device’s lifespan overall?
Sorry I missed your question. No, I don't think it will affect it at all.
Just got this item - a 13 gallon trash can I got lasts for about 25 minutes - A 1lb propane canister has lasted me 1 hour of showers so far - need to find an adapter / hose for a 20lb propane tank -
A trash can is a great idea. Wish I would have thought of that. The 1lb canisters definitely do not last very long. I do have the adapter hose and I use the 20lb propane tank. It works like a champ. Thanks for watching.
@@OAWD It started because I was looking at containers and my initial thought was something tall and narrow - there are “thin bins” for like recycling cans or sorting trash- there were a few 23 gallon thin bins- but they had air channels to make inserting trash bags easier- they were also a little pricey- but when I realized the shower option uses about 2 quarts per minute then I swung by Walmart and found a 13 gallon trash can for under $20 and it’s doing a good job. Thanks for sharing your video!
@@MiRockstar what a great idea and thanks for watching
THANKS.
GOOD SHOVEL.
Do you know if you can hook it directly to a camp spigot?
No you can't unfortunately. The pump has to be submerged in water in order to be able to work properly. With most of the camping that I do, there aren't any spigots anywhere near where I'm at so you have to rely on your own water sources. Hope this helps.
Great question and awesome to see the answer also! Very helpful thank you!
Thank you for this video. I just bought me one today on clearance for $50. I never slept outside before so I can’t wait to give it a try.
Damn! My local Walmart ripped me off! It was $75 in the clearance aisle!
That’s great! Let me know how you like it
I got mine for $35 great deal
Do you recommend to buy? Or is it better to take a Gerber E-Tool Shovel or Glock Entrenching Tool?
It really depends. If I’m doing a thru hike, I’ll take the gerber or an e-tool. If I’m car camping, it’s a standard shovel all day, everyday
I've been using mine everyday for running an Alpicool 15q refrigerator and I get about 23 hours runtime which is better than my bluetti eb3a. I would like to test extending runtime by attaching a chins 100ah 12v lifepo4 battery via the car charger that came with the wattfun plugged into a female cigarette lighter end that is connected to clamp ends that would attach to the Chins 12v.
So far after 2 months I definitely prefer the wattfun over the bluetti because they bluetti discharges so fast.
I'm just a simple man so, you lost me above...lol However, that's great to hear WATT a great piece of gear this is... (see what I did there?) Waka Waka
French Company!!! NOT Chinese!!!
I am looking for a light weight shovel that is compact. I came cuz I saw the name Gerber on one so I looked for a review. Yup looks sturdy, I think using it will burn more calories than I save by carrying it, if you follow. I think I will go with something more traditional, cuz at least I can get both hands on the D-handle. Oh almost forgot. We are of one mind on tacticool shovelaxespears. What happened to you, is what I figured would happen if one approached a task with any vigour. I solve the hatchet problem with a hatchet, or a pruning saw, depending on how far I need to walk.
I"m with ya. I started carrying a regular shovel and hatchet if I'm not hiking. I just recently purchased a 4x6 enclosed trailer that I have all of my gear in. I'll do a review on it shortly. I'm always forgetting something so now, I just bring everything.
@@OAWD I am converting a kid trailer to a GP people powered trailer. Just shopping for material solutions. Gotta look for a harness that will be comfy pulling weight. I expect the muscle builder section of Amazon will help me.
You should do a video on your progress
@@OAWD Nah. We are at the stage of development when minimising one's social media profile is wise. And telling people what you have is never a good idea. Better they assume I am all talk.
It;s a great stove and you are right that 1st burn is important!
Bigot much, Quechua is the old Mayan language not chinaaheese Decathlon makes really good medium priced stuff
Let me see if I've got this correct... You watch a video that is a review of an outdoor product and all you come away with is racism and insults? Wow bro, you've got issues... You can see your way out!
This is just like another shoah! 😂😂😂
Nice stove setup! I have seen this stove before and think it it is a great option. New follower here. Crow✌️
Thanks Crow!
That's ( sadly no test) other than proof of function. My little winch on my Honda quad would pull that Jeep like that.. I see you opped for the soft line. Did it mount easily on that EAG ??
Proof of function, test... it's all the same to this simple guy. I did go with the soft line. A lot of the research that I did prior to purchasing revealed that the synthetic rope is just as durable as the steel cable. Either way wouldn't be pretty however, I'd rather take my chances with a catastrophic failure with the rope vice the cable. The bumper was super easy to install. I did it myself. The bumper I bought weighs around 80lbs, and it was totally manageable for one person. Hope this helps!
Hey guy I have a Comanche I'm improving on. Just bought an EAG full width winch bumper and a bunch of other stuff. It's mine. My wife has a Tacoma. Its awesome. So I'm looking hard at this winch. Looks like u could use some subs. So thumbs up and subbed . I live up in the mountains above the snow line ( actually buried now ( Dec 29 2022.) Would be interested in your conclusions . Any issues with the remote function?? Did u get the steel cable or nylon. I'm 80 and old school so I trust cable but considering?)
A lot of the research that I did prior to purchasing revealed that the synthetic rope is just as durable as the steel cable. Either way wouldn't be pretty however, I'd rather take my chances with a catastrophic failure with the rope vice the cable. I'm super happy with it so far. Thanks for the like, comment and sub. Stay warm up there.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the remotes. Both work fantastically. The wireless remote really comes in handy when you're by yourself and you need to be behind the wheel.
🍻 to a man that admits his honest mistake.
Thank you sir !
Cheers pal good info 👍 just bought this same tent, so I'll see how it goes 🤣🤣
Thank you Sir. Thanks for watching.
@@OAWD anytime mate 👍 and thanks for the info, merry crimbo 🎉
Hello, I want to know if the Jetboil Stash fits a 230-gram gas tank instead of a 100-gram one, without the support or the burner?
Yes it will fit the regulator and the stand but you'll have to store it separately from the unit. I use the larger canisters all the time unless I'm hiking. Hope this answered your question.
that is the worst test for a winch . to do a proper test you need to be actually stuck all thumbs down
Thanks for watching. I can tell you that I got the tractor stuck and it pulled it out no problem. All thumbs up! 👍
@@OAWD what type of tractor and whats the weight hmmmm
@@GULIVERSOFFROAD it was a big green one and it was heavy. It got stuck in this icky mud that was next to this gross water with disgusting fish in it.
@@OAWD Maybe you should have done a video of that?
Maybe I should have, but it definitely wasn't a planned event.
It’s a fuckin sleeve, What what a ya leaving it there?
How has the winch been holding up so far? I’m In the market for one and wanted to know what you think about the ZEAK brand
So far, so good. About a week after I got it, I got my buddy's tractor stuck and the winch pulled it out with no problem.
UPDATE: I used the winch 2 weeks ago helping a buddy pull trees that we had cut down. Worked like a champ. Super happy with this winch.
Impressive tent set up for not having installation instructions

yo la tengo y realmente lo cuesta es plegarla, montarla tardas nada pr plegarla te tiras 10minutos.
totally concur
Exactly too bad,"she is not driving it" 👍😂
“It’s a fuckin hammock”
Super!interesting . Outdoor.
I like that it didn't take you 20 minutes to do a review and also the review was straight up. The trenching tools are that. Not really intended to be a giant multi-tool, although they can be improvised to do in a fix. Good job. I do like Gerber - Fiskars products generally.
Thanks Barry
I've just ordered a Gerber Gorge and once it arrives I may make a longer extending handle (although as I also have the Gerber Nato Folding Spade I might just take that instead!). The far east manufactured wonder shovels with countless attachments tend to be marketing garbage and are a liability to the owner who is invariably left without a functioning spade when it breaks! The most attachments for one of those was 49, andI don't doubt that i did all of them badly. The Gorge looks sturdily constructed to endure the kind of use that it is expected to cope with, and it will probably be used for tasks that a larger tool would be preferable.
how about the hammer function?
Unfortunately, it was less than satisfactory as a hammer.
@@OAWD Yeah, probably not good for anything other than very large things like tent pegs, since you can't really see what you're hitting with the blade blocking the view.
