Really good question. Right now I have already sold my Pulsar & Ornament - they're still really fun but my setup has leaned more into Eurorack. I have my Keystep still but it's more of a 'utility' device for me when I want to test something out or I just need to get something working. I really like the Elektron workflow and I have been sequencing with that primarily for most of the last 12 months and using a MIDI-CV module to sequence the Pulsar and other gear. However, it's not quite as wild as something like the Ornament. It depends on what you want out of a sequencer, are you looking for control or happy accidents. Right now I am using the Erica Synths Black Sequencer for melodic stuff and that has a great balance between control and crazy randomisation. For percussion I have just bought a WMD Metron (not yet arrived) and I am hoping that this will do the same for me as the Black Sequencer but for percussion. I will say that the Pulsar-23 is crazy fun and every time I see a wild video from someone else I regret selling it. It just didn't fit into my workflow. It is crazy fun and that fun is only expanded on when you bring in something like the Ornament-8. I'd definitely recommend looking into the Ornament-8. But, check the videos out first as it can be a bit of a mind bender.

@@err_rawr thank you so much for you mr detailed answer and this is basically what I have thought as well. I already have both a OXI One and Torso T-1 so getting another sequencer is not top priority but the Ornament feels like it’s a something different and keys are always good to have so I’m a bit torn 😁

@@Bobo another advantage of the Ornament is that it gives you additional trigger pins to use as I always find that I ran out with the Pulsar - so you can use the Ornament as a sort of extra Utility as well (if you don’t have the pulsar utility device already)

The pulsar is fun! Although, Had it a couple of years now. Making a sample pack at the moment and then I think I might sell it.

I really like the Pulsar but I think I am going to sell it soon. Just working on a sample pack for it so I can keep some of the feel.
