Just subscribed to your channel. I just got my CDL class A. I want to become an owner op. Do you recommend starting with a mega carrier or starting my own business now?
Thanks for subscribing! I'd recommend driving for a company for a few years, mega carriers usually don't treat drivers the best with little home time, etc. I'd be looking for a company that is willing to take you on, but still treat you like a human. Insurance is hard to secure with a new cdl license and could be very expensive for a new cdl holder.
You skipped some of the fine details of the mechanics I was interested in.

Do you have jack stands or are you using two jacks there?
I use the 20ton bottle Jack's and jack stands. You could also use the semi wheels under for extra safety.

@@TruckerGeminiJesus always has the wheel my friend. I am American unlike my Japanese steer tires. Sumitomo has been around a long time, and make great tires, including Falken tires that are made in the US.
@@Never_Enough_Travel You must do better research for tires. The cupping is another issue. Wasting time changing expensive tires or cheap ones for that matter

You mean most O/O actually do know how to grease their own truck. More of us are capable of doing 90% of the work, we just don't all have the shop space or heavy tools. Not sure which O/O you've met, but I learned something from everyone I've met over the last 22 years. Separate your assumptions for your real (researched) facts man.
