@drfeelgoodTO I would start off learning the minor pentatonic scale in the standard position (you can worry about the other positions later), followed by the blues scale. Once you have mastered those, you can experiment with different modes, which in effect add 2 or 3 notes to the scales you will already know.

You didn't play the A-major variation barré chord. I tried to but it's simply impossible. You cannot stretch your fingers on 6 whole frets using your thumb.
