Hello to my lovely friends! 💗 I am SO incredibly excited to bring you a piece from my one of my absolute FAVORITE movies of the year so far, CHALLENGERS! I've had this scene bookmarked since I saw the movie at an early showing last month & I'm super happy I was able to finally tackle it! I have been looking forward to this film for over a year! I remember when it was supposed to come out in the fall but got pushed due to the SAG strike! I'm so glad it's finally here!!!!!
Y'all - I love this movie. Luca Guadagnino is my favorite director. His films always seem to find me at the PERFECT moment and have something to say that feels so deeply personal every time. Anything Zendaya touches turns to gold - I would follow that woman to the edge of the Earth LOL! She is FANTASTIC in all of her work and I can't wait to see what she does next. The male leads in this film were absolutely outstanding, as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this film. It's engaging, erotic, fast paced, and memorizing. There is so much depth and humanity in this film. AND THAT SCORE?!? OMG play that in a darkened nightclub NOW!!!
In this scene, Tashi is nothing short of disgusted when Patrick has the nerve to ask her to be his coach. After everything they have been through, she is so over his games & advices him to grow up and pick a different profession.
I loved watching Tashi's character start to unravel in this scene. She has a surface face she puts on for the outside world but you can see that underneath it all, she really is conflicted. Patrick's character is so cunning and smart in his approach - a master manipulator for sure!
Have you seen "CHALLENGERS" yet? It is quickly becoming the movie of the summer! I grew up around tennis as my Dad has played his whole life so I really enjoyed the subject matter. Luca is such a talent and we must protect him at ALL COSTS!!!!! 👏

    You’re so talented! Do you have any tips for getting into character for monologues? I always find it weirder doing monologues but when I’m with a scene partner I can like react to what there saying if that makes sense 😅💗

      Thank you! ✨ I’ll be honest, sometimes it’s a little weird talking to nothing in my room but you just gotta go for it! If you don’t believe it, nobody else will! Watching the scene or clips of the film before I shoot always helps! If it’s emotional, I’d take a couple minutes to meditate and breathe into the character.
