Love watching New Year celebrations around the world. Thanks for posting. The offering is lettuce/cabbage and a red envelope. The lion bites the lettuce into pieces and tosses it out to everyone in order to spread the wealth. The green of the lettuce representing money. Visiting the businesses bring them good luck for the new year. The fireworks are to scare off evil spirits.
