The Gadd Gang Roppong Oit Inn - Tóquio 7 de Julho 1988 Steve Gadd - Drumns Cornell Dupree - Guitar Ronnie Cuber - Saxophone Richard Tee - Keyboards Eddie Gomes - Double bass Setlist Things Ain't What they Used to Be I can't turn you loose Watching the River Flow My Girl / Them Changes A Whiter Shade Of Pale Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours Honky Tonk / I Can't Stop Loving You
The pace, dynamics, space/clarity, phrasing, ensemble playing, tasty soloing, and groove make this a great band.
I want to be Richard Tee
Same... I am on a journey
Fire the barry player
With all due respect, how did Cornell Dupree even get any gigs?
His style is very angular and pokey, which is very distinctive. Definitely not suited for many, but he's a perfect fit with Gadd and Stuff, IMHO.
Cornell Dupree at 10:24 just so cool 😎
Eddie Gomez
Homões da porra !!

Drummer the best one the world!!!
Ty bro

Saw Gadd Gang several times in NYC just one of my favorite memories as well as seeing Stuff with Cornel & Godon Edwards and Eric Gale as well as Ronnie Cuber Late show monday nights at Blue Note with Joe Beck ,& the good Dr.Lonnie Smith. The 1980's & 70's in NYC was simply the greatest era for going out to see fabulous musicians playing their hearts out in clubs like Mikels,Lone Star , B Breecker Bros club 7ave south, Bottom Line,,Blue Note etc God I miss it
pure magic oh yeah...beautiful man
Nice choice of music.

Hi, I think Eddie Gomez write his name with "z"., I think
What year was this recorded?
Beautiful brotherhood and musical partnership with all of them, but especially Richard Tee & Steve Gadd- who played on so many legendary recordings and shows together. They just had a sound and a vibe that really clicked-one of the great partnerships in New York musician history.
These guys aren’t making any attempt to be “deep“ or special, or artistic. Steve has said, they just played music that they enjoyed playing together, and loved sharing that joy with the audiences, that’s it. Nothing more, and nothing less. Also, nothing wrong with, great electric bassists, but come on: what a brilliant idea, to invite Eddie Gomez, who supports this thing so beautifully with acoustic upright bass violin - is generally only known as a serious, top-level post-bebop jazz bassist. But he sure can lay it down, can’t he?
Brought back so many memories of those days it made me cry.
Wow! 🤓🥁🎹👍🏼
RIP Ronnie. Saw the band at North Sea fest. FAB.
Rest In Peace Richard, Cornell, and Ronnie.❤
they are more alive to me than major mutherfuckers i personally know

@@take1task thanks for correcting me! Just updated 👍
Not the best night to record this ensemble. Seemed lackluster, they've sounded better.
That’s just silly

The best live soul concert in the history of humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One would have to had to heard ever live concert to make such a statement but unable to comprehend that hearing is in the ear of the listener.
That's a bold statement.
@@ninjavigilante5311 No its not is subjective, depends od the ear of the listener
最後のシーンで、スティーブとティーが少し遠慮がちに挨拶するシーンは二度と見れないと思うと泣けるね。ティーは本当にブラザーみたいな存在だったからね。
I was actually there. Unbelievable performance quality!
Wow. You lucky b*tch... Wish I was there too 😔
This must have been a very special evening, I imagine.
Where was the concert? Thank you.
@@rhythmfield It was in Pit Inn at Roppongi, Tokyo.
@@kazuyosihiraga7856 does the Pit Inn still exist? Thank you.
Great! I saw Cornell with B Purdie and C Rainey about 17 years ago. Gadd as well but in EC concert. I cover amazing tunes by fingerstyle etc. in my channel!!!
Steve’s drumming is so tight. It’s like he’s a machine!!!
except it sounds so human! A human with tremendous soul!
Eddie Gomes :)
