My Piano Delivery - Baldwin SD-10

I recently purchased a 1967 Baldwin SD-10 and had it delivered to my house. Lots of people ask how they deliver a piano that big into a house, so this video shows how.
Wow, I just had my SD10 delivered yesterday to my house. In a similar room, with the delivery guys using the very same technique to put it back together. What a great instrument!

You installed a concert grand in your home?
Yeah. I was looking for about a 7 foot piano, and got a lead on this piano, which is just a wonderful instrument. I did the calculations, decided it could fit, and I love it. At first the piano was very loud and brassy in the room. I installed a bunch of acoustic panels on the walls, and had my piano technician voice it down for the room, and it sounds great in there now.

Ahahaha. Fortunately, I have enough space, and I try to be considerate, so the neighbors don't complain. Now when we add the drums, bass, and guitar, that's a different issue!

Are you in the San Antonio area? I was at the Alamo Music Center last weekend and viewed a Baldwin D selling for $35K.
I'm in the Dallas area. Depending on the age and condition of the piano, 35K could be a great price or a stinker of a deal. If you're interested, make sure to hire an independent tech to evaluate it. Also, if you're considering buying a piano, check out the Piano forum on pianoworld.com. Lots of knowledgeable people there.
I love your Baldwin D. I'm searching for a 1960s D also. May I ask how much you paid for yours? I see price range from $15K to $35K.
I paid $20,000, which for this piano in its condition, was a great deal. There are lots of good deals on Baldwins out there, so they can be found. Baldwins from this era can be fantastic pianos.
fermat131313 Great deal you found. I hope to be so lucky. Wish you had included a mini concert with your vid. Was this a former home piano or refurbished retired concert stage piano? I have a 1965 Model L but hoping to trade up eventually. Baldwins from this era have no competition.
How much did you pay for delivery?
Delivery was about $500, from a location about 95 miles away. I got a good deal on that.
