Wir sind wahr - Nena (Nacht Mix)

No one in her native Germany would call Nena a one hit wonder. She's had a lifelong career with many hits and highlights. The Luft balloon song is merely an afterthought and not the defining moment of her career. 'Wir sind wahr' is a title from her 2009 album 'Made in Germany' and the 'Night Mix' version is my favorite.

This song from their 1991 Album 'Prince of the deep Water' is probably their best known and most successful. I love the haunting Melody, great voice of singer William Topley and great guitar parts.

Nena is mainly known for the Luftballoon song and thought of as a one hit wonder. In her home country she's had a life long career and many hits. This one is my favorite song by her. I love the relaxed, rainy sunday morning vibe of this song.

Civilized Man is the title song of Joe Cocker's 1984 eponymous album. It's an underrated song that deserves way more airplay. Back in the day when people had to sing and voice boxes and digital editing was not on the table.

Someone commented once that this song makes you long for a time you never lived in, a place you've never been and a girl you've never seen. Perfect description. From 1977's 'Night Moves', Mainstreet is my favorite Bob Seger song, here with the Silver Bullet Band. The Solo Guitar is epic. The legendary guitarist Pete Carr, who worked with everyone from Rod Steward to Hank Williams Jr. created it.

Shame on the Moon is from Bob's album 'The Distance' From 1982. For some reason I don't hear this song on radio much anymore, although it was a huge hit for Bob back in the day. Who else remembers this song?

I was happy to see Bob singing 'Like A Rock' in the old t.v. ads for Chevrolet trucks. My favorite automobile industry, and one of my favorite singers getting together was great to see and hear. Bob Seger's ' awesome hit song, 'Night Moves', brought back many fond memories of my teen years, and my old Chevy car.

@@apscoradiales America is still great just like it was great for us, our parents, and grand parents. Things change with every generation and we just need to accept it. Remember, our parents had doubts about America when we were teens. America will stay great and move forward, not backward, once we remove the threats to our democracy on November 5, 2024.
