My version of the John Hartford song. Played on a Gibson LG-2.
28:37 The best live version of "Maybe you will change your mind"
My step-father opening the shows, introducing the bands and doing announcements. A friend sent this to me here in 2024!
My fav line up of the scene!! Ok ask a question Why or what happened w Tom grey? Again this is my fav of the seldom Scene
Fantastic group she used to play at the Adams county Bluegrass Festival as a jammer
Thank you for the upload. NBB also played in Lincoln, Mass on this tour I think. I was there. It was so good. Alan O’Bryant, man, what a voice!
Base player did a great job I remember the original that said he would rather eat a bucket of mud than play an electric bass. Great job Wow I miss the old days and the great music .
I learned to sing tenor by listening to Duffy. Never reached his standard, but I learned a lot. "Wait a Minute" , an absolute classic.
Damn girl. Yo the best….
Every man on that stage is a virtuoso.
No band has ever had better banter.
😊😊😊😊😊

❤
What a wonderful musical spirit flowing through these folks✌🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼😊👍💞
I got to set back stage with Duffy and Tony Rice. They insisted i was there first. I was, waiting on them. I heard things i won't soon forget. For a young musician, I was blown away.
I got into Bluegrass in the late 80s listening to WAMU. These guys are legend.
Boy i remember when they were on top as one of the best! Miss these boys. I first saw them in Hugo Oklahoma.
Whoa. Train 45 in B! Ben Eldridge. One of the most underrated banjo players ever.
Lou Ried is good but dont care for his trying to add his range.
What male singer do you think has more range in Blugrass Music today, or ever? He literally sang tenor to Ricky Skaggs, who many claim is the best tenor. I know for a fact he can sing circles around anyone you know, with no falsetto 💯
They were at their best with John Duffy, may he RIP
Love me some Ralph Stanley! ( that hat is bigger than him-but he still wears it! And it don’t wear him! ) RIP Ralph !
Ole No Tone Stubbs!!!!
Ben left a legacy.
This footage is amazing, thank you! It's the best gift❤
What a phenomenal group they were and always fun to see live.
So sad to hear of Ben Eldridge's passing. Rest easy!
Sad new for sure. Grateful for the music he left behind.
Duffey and Ben together again.❤
Kept up with John Starling until his death. My favorites ever. Starling,Duffey,Ethridge ,Aldridge and Tom on bass. Miss them so much.
ITS REAL NICE TO SEE A BAND THAT LOOKS LIKE A BAND AND NOT JUST A SOME GUYS WHO LOOK LIKE THEY NEVER MET BEFORE. AND THEY RE A GREAT BAND
THE ORIGINAL NBB LINEUP , AND TO MY TASTE THE BEST OF THS GREAT BANDS' SEVERAL LINEUPS
Started touring the bluegrass genre in the early 70’s when i was about 4 years old and we could walk from tour bus to bus and talk to the the great John Duffy, Charlie Waller, Stanley bros. I was a starry eyed little boy to shy to let go of my mammas leg but i remember the greats from Glory Land Park down to East Tn Where i call home now. The best life ever traveling the east coast listening to legends. Smelling bacon cooking on our ole wood stove and mammas voice in perfect sync when listening on the 8 tracks in our ole TN shack
great Mike Compton ❤❤❤❤
thanks for sharing
This is a beautiful snapshot - thank you!
thankee!
Happy to share
Thanks for this. Been at many festivals across the country, the Martin and I. Seldom Scene and the Gents were the biggest draw for me, true professionals, all of 'em. Could jam around the campfires, and often some of the pros would join us. Heh, I'd jam all night, listening and learning. I miss those days. Again, thanky for posting this, listening a third time now.
Thanks for sharing this!
Good Music
Mark Hembree on bass
Wonderful, gets your attention from the start and keeps it close!
Our favorite group year after year at Gettysburg, Good music and some humor thrown in too. Ron Thomason is a national treasure. Thanks guys.
Just saw them last night, they were wonderful.
Great music
The most I like best bluegrass band
Ben Eldridge, John Duffy, T Michael Coleman, Lou Reid and Mike Auldridge.
Not just a bunch of pickers. That’s a BAND!
Tom Adams. Beast!
Any guitar nerd should study mike auldridge's playing from about 1:11. Phenomenal, but then the whole band is.
Thanks so much for this God I miss them! Saw the new band before Covid in Warsaw, Va and really enjoyed it.
Lynn Morris is very talented lady.I have in my collection all theirs CDs.I love her style of singin' too.
Great video. Loved their version of "Diamonds in the Rough".
Haven't heard these guys since 1970s at Wolf Trap, so for me they really are the Seldom Scene.🎵🎵
