Started listening to them in 1979 when i was 15, now at 60 i appreciate them every bit as much. Timeless and legendary. Definitely overlooked too.

I hate and despise all things punk rock.

These guys deserved more than they got from the business. So many hits in Britain but didn't get played in the States. They had more hits than the Clash and Pistols combined. Diggle just thrashes his guitar. Raw punk! Get "Singles Going Steady".

Everybody's Happy Nowadays, these days it seems like everyone is homosexual or bisexual or pansexual & it sucks for people who aren't. because everyone wants to force something so that they feel comfortable &other people's comfort makes some people uncomfortable. i'm tired of being forced around women & men who want me to want women & women who want me to want women for whatever reason be it because they want me or they want the men who may have possibly wanted me before i started mutilating myself& doing things intentionally to try& make myself unappealing to the people who i'm not attracted to who feel like they own me or my space/mind etc.. people act like they don't care or give a shit but doing things out of malicious intent is a form of caring too. people use excuses like "well,bi'm just being me" but they do it or whatever a little extra especially when they know it upsets someone. it's sad& everyone seems to fall into at some point for some reason.

My favorite from this set is Fast Cars. It kicks so much ass here. I love that Garvey drops the bass an octave during the verses in this version, a detail that improves the song so much from the studio version. 5:45

Saw the Band in Queensland Australia, last century, just remember it was one of best gigs ever been to , university gig . everyone and the band was so energetic, I was about 21 years old , now 56 and still don't get listening to the band !!!!

Thank the Universe this was my formative influence when I was in my teens and early 20s in the late 70s and early 80s. It built character.

moved to london in late 1989. first gig I went to was the residents, at sadlers wells, & pete shelley was sat right in front of me. a few weeks later there's howard devoto on the 38 bus into town- saw him a lot. then met diggle in the maplins store in camden. still working on collecting the rest.... buzzcocks pokemon! loved "sky yen" too.
