Line 6 HX Stomp - Revv Purple Channel - Firmware 2.9 Update
Переглядів 2,3 тис.4 роки тому
Hey everybody! I updated to firmware 2.9 last night and it introduced a lot of new features. Today I wanted to walk through the new amp that was added and the tones I was able to come up with right after updating. Let me know if you are interested in other patches and I'll do some more walkthroughs!

Temple Audio Duo 17 Timelapse Build - HX stomp

First post in like a year! Hoping to get back into posting regularly. Just finished my new temple board project for my new Church Rig. I have recently acquired the HX stomp and have been loving the tones I've been getting from it. I have paired the Mission Engineering TC 2 pedal for extra functionality on the Stomp. You'll notice I switched out the Maxon OD808 with the Protone Deadhorse mid vid...
Temple Audio Pedalboard- Trio 28: Timelapse Build
Переглядів 32 тис.6 років тому
Been planning this build for months and finally got the last of the pedal plates today to assemble it. This is the Temple Audio Trio 28 pedalboard. I got the IEC micro module and the patch bay module to go along with it. One complaint is that to put the iec module in, you have to completely remove the side panel. Not hard or anything, just sort of annoying. Other than that, this pedalboard is p...
"Wishing Well" - Synth Composition- Andrew Taylor
Переглядів 1296 років тому
Was listening to the Stranger Things soundtrack and got inspired by the 80's synth sound. Took to my midi controller and came up with this in about 2 days. Though I'm not much of a programmer and keyboard player, I think it turned out pretty good. A playthrough video seemed boring for this, so I found some amazing footage of ink drops in water for you to look at instead. Hope you enjoy. Like an...

This is my first Walrus Pedal other than my Phoneix power supply and I'm loving it already. It brings so more much sustain and warmth to my clean playing, which is the primary reason why I got it. I also got the limited edition one because, well, look at it. This will most likely become an always on pedal for me on my clean channel. Back at it again with more music. Sat down and tried to incorporate a lot of synth elements into this as well as some strings. First time using bass in a video because I happen to have one on hand yesterday, which is why the video for that is kinda thrown together. I also made this solo up while recording and completely forgot it before videoing, so trying to relearn that was a bit of a challen...
Honda Civic Hatchback 2017 LX Car Wash- Foam Cannon
Переглядів 1,4 тис.7 років тому
This is my first time using a foam cannon. It didn't go as smooth as I would've liked it to. Had many issues and the pressure nozzle on the pressure washer is messed up and does weird spinning motions at random times. Hopefully the next wash is smoother than this. My phone also died videoing, so that's why there's only one shot of me actually scrubbing the car, but rest assured, I did the whole...

    Whatever he is playing through the EMG's sound way better which i didn't think I was going to say. Way smoother in the mid range, much more clarity and sizzle in the top end and a lot more punch in the bottom end with the palm mutes. I'm listening through a pair of KRK VXT8's which are a $1400 pair of studio monitors and the difference is night and day, the EMG's win all day long, it's not even close. This wasn't even a tough call for me it was blatantly obvious to me. Make sure you're listening through a good pair of monitors.

    The power unit used can supply max 500mA on 9V output. HX Stomp requires 3000mA. Seems not very reliable

    • @andrewtaylor2190
      @andrewtaylor2190 3 роки тому

      Even though the rated is 3000ma on the helix, it does not pull that much. There is a couple videos on UA-cam showing that. I’ve been using this setup for over a year now and have never had a power failure

    A great side by side would be the Pro Tone Misha Signatures Attack Overdrive/Deluxe v the Precision Drive/Apex. Word is old Bulby took the hardware, schematics left Protone, then made his own line. Pro Tone Pedals by far are the first to specifically design pedals for modern progressive metal on extended range guitars! They have a ton of Bulb pedals and their Tosin Abasi Attack Overdrive rules. The My Little Dead Pony is exactly the Bulb 1st Gen. The Attack Overdrive is close to the Tosin Pedal. Their Preamp Pedal is a clone of the discontinued Meshuggahs Integrated Preamp. If modern progressive metal tones is what you need, One Stop Shoppe is Pro Tone Pedals. The Dead Horse is immaculate for grimey doom and other fat metal tones. There are more Apex and Precision Drives available online on the date of this comment than Bulb Attack Overdrives/Deluxe, PT is cheaper too! The Cor Mid Boost, I could go on fa dayze

    Hey I liked your video and the playing a lot. Nice work. Are you using the 4 way jack patch to run some pedal through the fx loop and others through the front of the amp? And if you do that are you linking all the delay and reverb pedals to the overdrives with patch cables? I’m New to pedals and trying to understand how this works.

    • @andrewtaylor2190
      @andrewtaylor2190 4 роки тому

      You would probably need a butter knife to get them off. You would then need to clean the bottom of the pedal with alcohol to get the residue off. Once you take the plate off, it’s adhesive is pretty much wasted. Temple sells replacement adhesive pads that are pretty cheap

    Well the way I see it, your EMG guys will say they sound better and the SD guys will do the same when you list and show which is which. For a true response, dont say which is which and only show the neck of the guitar. Wear a different shirt or something to distinguish between the 2. When you have brand loyal responses, it's not actually a unbiased opinion. Just a thought. Some killer riffs no matter what pups. The Nazguls definitely had a darker heavy sound and the EMGs were brighter. It all comes down to style of music and equipment being used, along with personal preference.
