She's got quite an impressive range of voice characterizations; very talented in that respect. But she strikes me not so much funny as simply disjointed and chaotic. Disjointed and chaotic CAN be funny. I'm thinking Robin Williams, and to a lesser extent, Jim Carrey as examples, maybe Bobcat Goldthwait; but Maria's not getting much "funny" out of disjointed and chaotic. Avant garde, for sure, but just not very funny, IMO. Of course, "funny " is subjective, and your mileage may vary. For instance, Laurel and Hardy can always make me laugh; but a commenter on a video of theirs I just saw, said he thought it was awful. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
