What brand of diverter did you install and the kit for the remote set up? Was that all in one package under a part number?
Yes all one kit. I ordered it. MSF3948 from Steiner tractor parts
I think your plan to over seed your pasture is a great idea I was thinking of the same, I would like to see your results I think it will be the same as if you use a 30,ooo dollar drill ,my hat is off to you! we need more farmers that think outside the box instead of what the seed salesmen says.
Results were ok last year. Needed more rain over the fall months
Maybe figure out the gasket before you put the sealant on and then mark the spot. Thanks for the help though great video.
Thank you sir!
Great video. My water pump went out on my 03 Century and I thought it would be a nightmare. It was super easy with the help of your video. Thank you.
What model tractor?
5085e
My HD8 is doing the same thing. Will not accelerate for shit. I was thinking bad gas. But now that you mention the fuel pump...
Do a 5090e same filter problem. So now im a rip'n it off. Ffs
It’s a bad design for sure
Good information. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Great to see that job I’m about to do myself - helps a lot, thank you. Tip: A little video editing would really improve the viewing experience in my humble opinion.
Thanks for the tip!
Old school is old school tractor old school sickle bar mower and then a thermos full of coffee now you are doing it old school
watch the left hand turns when your pulling it in transport position
How much does the disc weigh?
About 1000lbs with the weights on it
I still have 2 451 9 foot mowers that we use some. I always use the palms of both hands flat on the sickle bar and walk it hand over hand to fold it. Nice mowers. They are 3 point hookup the the tractor.
They still use sickle bars in the combine heads cutting soybeans etc. so, its not really old technology.
Yes they do
Does that filter have the correct bypass 23psi rating I’ve been using wix or Subaru filters the black ones blue ones are cheaply made
Never checked
4:23 this is about the point where I break the head of the bolt off and spend the next day drilling and tapping the damn thing. I love how those 8mm bolts just spin right off of there for you.
How many acres were you working with it?
60
Sparkplugs
Fuel pump
Super
😂😂😂
Do you think it would handle an 11ft wide 1,500 lb flail mower on 2 to 1 slopes equipped with much wider tires for sideways stability?
No the tractor is to light
You do know that MOST of the bolts do NOT need to be removed? (The bottom left, and perhaps the upper ones. Better yet, remove the support bracket! Not the 3 for the motor) Just loosened enough to slide them out of the hole at the top of the slot!
I’m having similar issues , did your check engine light come on as well ??
No the engine light never came on
My dad used to have me do the same thing only we used a John Deere 40S with a semi mounted #5 Deere sickle mower with a 6' knife. It took quite a while but I didn't care I was driving a tractor which I still love to do some 50 years later.
That’s awesome
❤
Do you have a link or part # to the buddy seat by chance?
No, it was dealer installed. Sorry
I take the cover off next to my gear shifter and I can see down in my gearbox but I have no oil in there. But when I go by the right back wheel and check the dipstick is showing it full what am I missing here or does the gearbox not really have oil in it
From my knowledge it will be lower on left side
How do u like vavoline in your sub
That’s all we run in all our vehicles, never had an issue

We did that back on the farm. We had a NH 451. We would set the sickle angle up so that it would cut taller. We mowed pastures with a sickle mower for a few reasons: (1) cut down the weeds to allow the grass to grow better. (2) Removing the weed kept them from irritating the cattle's eyes. (3) Using the sickle mower also broke up the manure patties distribution the "free" fertilizer". (4) It was easier and more maneuverable around tight places in the field and allowed closer cuts to the fence line. (5) If you had a small erosion areas you can lay the sickle bar across the spot and cut the weed off. (6) Using a sickle bar allowed us to cut a little steeper grades (i.e. hillsides and pond banks.) (7) Brush Hogs left a rougher cut which dad didn't like. Brush Hogging was used for area that had brush larger than your thumb. or areas the was semi rough and rocky.
Thank you for posting this. Followed each step. Didn't finish in 26 minutes but wasn't in a hurry. Made it so much easier.
Thank you
👎👎 Your camera operator needs to work on keeping what you are working on in the CENTER of the frame, and IN FOCUS. This video would have been great, but maybe next time it will be better.
He's the Best damn Grill Cook in his whole neighborhood, could tell just from this video.
2018 defender... Cranks up fine idols, OK. But soon as you try to give it gas, it jumps and sputters and Spitz. Nobody's got a good idea, I guess.
Fuel pump is weak
any word on the defender repair
I love you
Yours tilts up a lot more than mine. My 456 only comes up about 2 feet on the end. I wonder why.
Could be an adjustment where the lift cylinder hooks up
Thanks for not editing out the hiccups and real world struggles!
Thanks for the video. What hydraulic oil did you use? Did you find a definitive reference of the correct fluid?
I used trans-draulic from Atwood’s was the only oil I could find that covered all tractor brands and wouldn’t contaminate my other tractor when using the same implements. The original oil that the Massey Ferguson book calls out is SAE 90.
Thanks. I need to open up my 1962 MF-65 (diesel, multipower) and change out the same filter. Nice to have a reference for that procedure.
Perfect timing answered all my questions.
Do you have a part number and source for the filter ?
How did the beef turnout? Where the ribeyes good?
Yes their meat is very lean and tender
Smae problem I've replaced filter, pump, injectors , throttle body , cdi box and $3k later still idles fine but jumps bucks and dies intermittently 2018 hd8
Every oil change you needa change the fuel filter to ???
Yes.
Not difficult to fix the odometer issue with several 150 ohm resistors soldered back where they have fallen off
Thank you
Time to change on my denali duramax..thanks sir
You’re welcome
Nice video.. I have a 2002 I inherited from my sister. LOVE it, it's my daily driver for work 7 miles one way.. Drives great.. Heavy/smooth.. Better than a new caddy.! Looks like your Odometer isn't working like mine..? Want to replace the whole cluster but Rock Auto doesn't have any in stock just now.. Going to replace the whole a/c setup. Hasn't worked for 12 years and am tired of the damn hot summer heat here in Central WA State..
Thank you, yes I think the odometer can be fixed. Yes definitely need ac.
You pronounce Corriente all fucked up.
Was this the first time you replaced the fuel filter? Was just wondering because it said you had like 57 percent left. Was just trying to see if it goes by miles or if it can sense it. Thanks for your time.
No second time changing it. I think it goes by sensing it, because I only have 26,000 miles in the truck
Mr Hayworth just wanted to say thank you for this video it's helping my out at the right time.i have a question I just bought 2022 chevy silverado 2500hd with a 6.6 duramax is this the same set up it?is the 15 mm bolt for the oil pan underneath the truck the same as yours? Also will the 2022 model take the same amount of oil as your truck?
Yes they are the same
What? ? Why do you always kill us males? What have we males ever done to hurt you?? 🤣😜
Males don’t have calves and make you more money lol
Thanks ever considered a PPE larger oil filter?
No I haven’t
